Excellent budget hotel In the heart of Fort Worth historic Stockyards district. Near all the attractions. Billy Bobs, rodeo, railroad station and wonderful western bars. Don't need a car, everything is within easy walking distance.Clean and tidy. They don't do food but you can have a pastry and endless cups of coffee in the morning. Ambience is very sort of traditional and western themed and it is like taking a step back in time to the past.

Good basic hotel convenient to the Stockyards It's an older hotel (probably 65-70 years old) and pretty small- maybe 15-18 rooms, but it's adequate for a short stay. Most of the hotels near the stockyards were quite expensive, but this was was about half the cost of the others, and it had was we needed for one night. The room was quite small- maybe 12x12 feet- and there was no closet or hanging space. It had a tiny bathroom toilet, but everything was clean, and the beds were comfortable. The main problem I had sleeping was from the loud noise from the bar next door which had loud music way into the night. There was only one hard chair in the room, but they had a comfortable chair and sofa in the lobby which I used to work on the computer. The wifi service was quite good. For the price, it gave me what I needed for the night.

#1 Reviewer BAD Old TV no channels. Room not ready at 3:30 pm. Street music went all night and we were at a busy intersection. Got no sleep. Smelly toilet, shower only clean face Because you couldn’t adjust it. Dirty corridors, our room door wouldn’t lock so we had to leave our belongings unattended with no lock on the door whilst we looked around the town.Because of this waiting to have a lock fixed we missed the 4 pm Cattle Drive, then they didn’t even fix it so that the door was unlocked all night. It is old tired and rundown and very small. No coffee tea making facilities. The only good thing was that the bed was comfy. Not worth staying here better staying out of town with a five minute walk somewhere it is just too noisy with people music and trains blowing their horns all night.

Comfortable rooms with great location It was a pleasant experience in Hotel Texas. The location is really great as it is close to the historic stockyards and the cowboy culture really makes it a nice boutique hotel. I would definitely stay here again

Cute We made a trip to the stockyards and stayed here for the weekend. It was a cozy room. Just like it would’ve been in the western days. Everything had western theme and it was very nice. The rooms weren’t very large but we didn’t come here to stay in the room the whole time. As soon as we walked out the door we could see main st and exchange.
