Great place to stay Stayed here 4 nights with my 6 year old niece. Took my niece on a mini vacation to Nashville and decided to stay in nearby Franklin due to the prices being more affordable and more bang for your buck.
We arrived on Friday afternoon around 2ish and the young lady at the front desk, I believe names Diana checked and said our room was available for check in early. She was super friendly as my niece chatted her ears off and told us of the hotel and services.
The room was comfy, a double queen on the 5th floor with a view of the hills. It came with a coffeemaker, microwave and fridge. I was pleased there were shampoo, conditioner and shower gel dispensers mounted on the wall of the shower/tub, due to forgetting to pack mine. We never had a problem finding a parking spot out front.
I also forgot my toothbrush, but there is a Walmart located straight thru the red light leaving the hotel in an adjacent shopping center.
So, there is a free breakfast in the mornings. I must say, I was impressed. This is a huge hotel and obviously busier on the weekends and summer vacation folks. The line moves fast. Breakfast had fresh eggs, sausage, fried potatoes, pancakes, toast, gravy, and waffles. Also, there was cereal yogurt, fruit, and oatmeal with toppings. Plenty of coffee, juice, tea and sodas. If I can say anything, it’s I wish they would have changed it up a bit, but when you are having to feed that many people, I get it. Plus, it’s a hotel, not an all inclusive resort. We ate breakfast all 4 mornings of our stay.
In the evening they have a social thing that starts at 5:30. Upon check in, I received a card for 2 alcoholic drinks each evening. I saw people in line, but I do not drink, so I am unsure of what they served, but they had plenty of sodas, tea, water. Heck, you can just eat at the hotel for free instead of going to dinner. The day we got there they had, salad, soup, baked potatoes, bbq sliders, hot dogs, nachos, and probably some more things I missed. We were out and about 2 other nights so we didn’t eat there again until our last night. This time the veggies were different, and they had pasta Alfredo and grilled chicken on the side, salad, soup baked potatoes. Yeah, it would have gotten old if we’d eaten every night, but my niece loved the hot dogs and yep, did I tell you it was all free with your paid stay.
So, I chose this hotel due to the inside/outside pool. However, if lightning is around, they shut the whole pool area down due to the dangers, which is understandable. That includes the hot tub. I enjoyed the hot tub and my niece enjoyed all of the water and other kids there. Towels are provided in the indoor area.
I will say, every staff member we encountered from check in to working in the food area, housekeeping and even maintenance when they shut the pool area down due to weather were extremely polite and friendly. It’s a huge hotel, you can see it coming down I65, but quiet in the rooms for some good sleep.
We were 20-30 mins from Nashville Shores, the zoo, and Opry Mills. There’s plenty of food places right by and it’s easy to navigate around because I65 is right there beside you.
We met friends in downtown Franklin which is very quaint and 15 mins away. We had dinner and hung on the old Main Street. Plus, you’re about 20 minutes from the Natchez Trace Pkwy double arch bridge, worth seeing if you are up this way.
My niece didn’t want to leave the hotel. If I ever come back and stay up this way, I’d definitely consider this hotel again due to the people, perks, price, and location.
