Staff is great! Very helpful and FRIENDLY. The staff is very courteous and professional. Made sure we had the live music calendar as soon as we arrived. Had several restaurant recommendations, very knowledgeable about the area. Biggest drawback was that the pool needed more shade - because it's hot in Texas in the summer... We are from here so, it's just a fact.

Nice place to stay The location is good because you’re on a creek but close to town. It is a smaller hotel but I wouldn’t call it a boutique hotel. The service was very good and friendly. The young man who checked us in worked hard to put us in connecting rooms which I had reserved. The separate sitting room is nice for various bedtimes. The shower head was nice with good water pressure. The bathroom counter was nice and large. The beds were good but the pillows were very hard and I woke with a sore neck. There weren’t many outlets to use. The guests before us had to unplug the TV and clock, making us think the TV didn’t work. Later when I was trying to find a plug I realized why they unplugged them and I had to do the same. The pool is in a pretty outside setting on a grassy hill sloping to a creek. There are several padded lounge chairs. There wasn’t much shade. The free breakfast was elevated by the use of silverware and dishes rather than plasticware. They offered sausage rolls, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs and sausage patties along with breads, bagels and muffins. Parking was free and plentiful.

Room had strong chemical smell. I could not get over the smell in the room. I thought it would dissipate the longer I spent in the room. It did not. I could not sleep in that room, so I left. $200 down the drain. The smell was mainly chemical. Maybe the cleaning products they use have a strong smell?

Wonderful stay This place is all around wonderful. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and very clean. Location is great and everyone is friendly and helpful. Wendy was at the desk when we arrived and she is an ace. We are finicky with our rooms and she was patient and with a terrific sense of humor.

Missing clothing This place has dishonest housekeeping staff, who will help themselves to your clothing and you cannot get the Housekeeping Supervisor to call you back. The front desk staff just deny knowing anything about it and after weeks of calling about my suit top I just gave up_ which I am sure is their mode of operation…Really should have filed a police report. I will never ever stay at this hotel again, which is a shame as we belong to a wine club and make frequent trips to Fredericksburg to attend wine parties and shop! SHAME ON YOU ALL FOR BEING COMPLICIT IN THIS DISHONESTY AND NOT TAKING THE APPROPRIATE ACTION TO FIND THE CULPRIT AND RETURN MY TOP. SHAME ON YOU ALL FOR FEELING YOU HAD THE RIGHT TO HELP YOURSELF TO YOUR GUESTS CLOTHING!!!!
