Beautiful experience. Great staff, wonderful room & breakfast Had a wonderful experience here. Perfect location to the bars and restaurants around downtown Fredericton. We booked through a 3rd party website, which we thought had worked out okay, until we got to our room. Check in was quick and easy, the lobby is so beautiful. We booked online a king room, but when getting into our room, we noticed it was a standard. We texted the front desk (with their really handy texting service) and the front desk clerk, Codie, was able to help us get the room we were originally looking for with pretty much no hassle at all. The room was beautiful and most importantly, clean! Beautiful walk in shower. Room temperature was able to be set ourselves which my A/c loving boyfriend was grateful for. Breakfast was included with our stay, but when we got down to it we realized we needed vouchers. The new clerk, I didn't catch his name, was able to check, and give us the vouchers so fast it didn't even seem like a (very minor) set back at all! It was amazing. The man who greeted us at breakfast, andrew, was such a bright, beautiful morning person! I am not a morning person myself but he was so warm and inviting. His energy was infectious, for lack of a better word. Our trip was just a short date night, but honestly it was so refreshing having an experience with virtually no issues. Felt so taken care of.

LOUD but comfy beds Went for a conference, very good food and the rooms have amazing beds!!!!!! ROOM WAS LOUD. Easily woken up more than a dozen times by doors slamming or people getting off elevator. Room is very spacious, nice pool and hot tub, both restaurants had great menus also. Close to everything downtown and near walking bridge to northside.

Well positioned, older hotel This place is positioned right by the government center and what few shops and restaurants exist in the city; they're also right along the river trail that will take you the bridge across the St. John too. Room was big and clean. Gym was useable, pool was cute. On site bar has decent wine and beer lists. Nothing to complain about, great mid-priced option.

Lots of room for improvement!!! Lots of room for improvement! Lots of things don’t work….safe, tv, phone, alarm clock, remote control. The fire water sprays look like they were cut into the ceiling with a knife (lots of creepy gaps around them). Room super small, drawers all dirty. Nice view of water and parking lot.

Excellent family hotel, good location Stayed here for a couple of nights while visiting an elderly relative in Woodstock. Beautiful older hotel, very pretty details in the main lobby and Maxwells restaurant. Would be a lovely venue for a wedding. We stayed in the west wing in room 101. Rooms were renovated in 2018 I believe, so they have a more modern feel. Keurig machine in the room for coffee. Mini fridge and microwave. Everything was very clean. Room 101 was close to the elevator and pool and there were hockey teams staying there this weekend so it was a bit noisy at times but not too bad. Pool and hot tub were nice. The hot tub is large and could accommodate at least 10-12 people. Pool was a nice temperature, but needs a bit of maintenance as the paint was chipping off and bits of paint were always on the floor. Sauna was not working. Pool had great hours, 5:30am - 11:00pm, so we were able to enjoy with our older kids after all the hockey teams got out of there around 9-9:30 Our booking included the breakfast buffet, which was in Maxwells restaurant. Buffet was well appointed. Eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes or waffles, muffins, pastries, yogurt, oatmeal, granola, cereal, juices etc. I really liked that they brought an insulated carafe of coffee to the table so you didn’t need to ask for refills. Staff were lovely and responded positively to any requests during our stay. Parking on site is $13/day. Location is great, right on the river and running/walking trails right behind the hotel along the water. Would be a great spot in the summer. Overall an excellent stay and so nice to see an older hotel with character and history that’s been well maintained.
