Great Hilton in the heart of Freeport! I stayed here for one night and absolutely loved it. The property is typical for a Hilton Garden Inn - it was clean and seemed recently upgraded. The lobby had a restaurant and bar which I did not try, but the little snack area had local Maine favorite which I found to be a nice touch. There is a massive parking lot directly across the street from the hotel too. Where this hotel gets the A+ is the location - it is literally in downtown Freeport, a 5 minute walk from shops, LL Bean, tons of great restaurants, and much more! The staff gave a great dinner recommendation that was one of the better meals I’ve had in recent memory. If you’re visiting Freeport anytime soon, this property is a no brainer!

Disappointing The room was nice but everything else was disappointing. * The heat pump in the room kept turning on the A/C when I turned the head done, I had to turn off the thermostat to get the heat to shut off w/o the A/C turning on. The heat pump should be setup to not engage the A/C in the winter. * The ceiling vent in the bathroom was very dusty and had not been cleaned in a long time. * I waited 10 minutes at the bar for the bartender to show up to order dinner around 7pm. He showed up to take a dinner order from a party sitting down, said he'd be with me soon, and 5 minutes later he was still not back. I left to get dinner elsewhere. * Breakfast starts at 6am, I showed up around 6:25am and it wasn't completely setup yet, and the potatoes I was served were cold and wilted.

Close to everything - absolutely perfect! I took a solo trip to Freeport to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday busy mom life and could not have found a better place to stay than this hotel. It’s just what I needed! Close to Freeport center, clean, cozy, and very friendly staff, I would recommend this hotel without hesitation. Parking is safe and nearby. Rooms are spacious. Bed is comfortable. There is a bar and restaurant on site with complimentary breakfast. Just the getaway this tired mom needed!!

Always Return... We are definitely repeat customers. It is because of your awesome staff, clean, facility, and great food. We would like to do a shout out to the following staff members. Let's start with Lisa. She is always at the desk with her smile and support. This time, we met Hazel. She helped us with important paperwork. Moving to food service. Shawn is great. His personality and dedication to his area is awesome. Moving to the breakfast team; Amber always greets us with her enthusiasm and kindness. Shy has joined the team. Talk about a positive and great addition. Today, we met Krystina. Again, enthusiasm and kindness. Lastly, and most importantly is your housekeeping staff. Our rooms have always been clean and ready with needed room amenities. We know the atmosphere and attitude of employees starts at the top.... Clearly there is positive leadership at this hotel. Service Above & Beyond Expectations My husband and I have been coming to Maine for over 30 years in December to celebrate our anniversary on December 11th. This year will be our 52nd year of marriage. We have had the pleasure of staying at The Hilton Garden facility in Freeport Maine since it opened. Our stays have always been amazing. Even though much has changed in Freeport since we first started going there one thing has never changed, that is the excellent customer service at this facility. We are always welcomed when we arrive long lost friends. This visit Pete at the front desk made our visit really special. My husband loves to do jig saw puzzles but since the remodel at the hotel the table is too small to fit the puzzle. I mentioned this issue to Pete and he said he would see what he could do to help. Unbelievably within an hour after our conversation he arrived at our room with the perfect folding table to accommodate our puzzle. What a kind caring person. You are so fortunate to have him as a member of your wonderful staff. Thank you to Pete and Hilton Gardens for going that extra mile to make our anniversary and Christmas celebration really special.
