Bingo and a dirty pool Two Marriott Vacation Club owner families travelling together. Nobody cleaning smelly beach. The smell from the seagrass smells like rotten eggs or propane! Nausiating! Limited to 1 dirty pool, which limits social distancing. Paid normal points for stay for less than acceptable services. NO ameneties, slow service, dead birds found. Shouldn't have opened this resort during this COVID time! Beach is NOT cleaned daily as they stated over and over! The only pool we can use is falling apart. There are holes everywhere from plaster that lifting from the bottom. We have stayed at many resorts and this is the worst in every way. I understand COVID vacation in place, but no restaurants, no amenities and staff is nice but equally frustraded. Can't live off of room service! 1/3 occupancy is acceptable, but 0% service is not. Called MVC and they were very unwilling to make it right and asking us to do the legwork and told us to ask for compensation from resort itself?!?! If you are looking to travel here... DON'T! I am sure others have had great times here, this is the reality now. Marriott Vacation Club should take some ownership, improve their communication to it's owners. This is why we stopped buying points. Many great features about MVC, but this is their weakest side.

DO NOT COME HERE Covid outbreak traced to this hotel Argentine guest . Staff alternately terrified and insanely rude . We had to go through pre covid testing , proof of vaccination and multiple forms online with uploads required by st kitts All of these things are perfectly understandable but then to be treated continuously as the “ unclean” was really offensive . Room service was inedible expensive and up to 90 minutes late , one bite and straight into the garbage . Groceries had to be ordered online . Staff refused to even knock to deliver . Refrigerated items left outside room . Return flight covid test $150 per person and was performed in a tiny unventilated medical van . St kitts COVID TASK FORCE guards ( not Marriott staff ) monitored pool activity for masks

One vacation for the books. We really were not as prepared as we thought in the measures taken by the government regarding Covid. From the time we got here a week ago, things have “locked down” a little bit more each day. If you are just arriving, I would advise to purchase many groceries as food delivery service —either by the resort OR delivery from local restaurants is exceedingly slow. We ordered supper yesterday from 869togo at 4:30 PM and our food was delivered at 7:00 PM. As of today, now the streets must be vacated by 6:00 PM, so not sure how that’s going to work for local restaurants. Our shuttle back to the airport was not allowed to run the AC (due to Covid concerns) and it was pretty hot and uncomfortable. This morning, we ordered breakfast from the resort, and it took no less than 2 hours and they were out of some items...The resort staff were very kind and tried to be as accommodating as possible. “Nardo” at the pool in the afternoons truly made our trip! He is an asset to the resort. This may go down as the strangest vacation we have ever taken, but we sort of knew it was going to be “different”. In hindsight, we would rather have gone somewhere more “open” like Aruba or Cabo, but we really thought things would be loosening up rather than tightening down.

Relaxing vacation Excellent snorkeling (saw sea turtles, lots of colorful fish, and conchs) and poolside was lots of fun - despite the restrictions due to covid. We felt very safe and the hotel did an excellent job of keeping everything clean and helping us make sure we followed covid guidelines for getting back to US. Simeon was the best - super friendly and always eager to help. We hope to come back when restrictions are lifted to explore the whole island.

Would be a great resort if it were fully open We stayed her the first week of June 2021. First, the resort is doing the best that they can with the restrictions imposed by the government of St. Kitts and Nevis. The staff is fantastic (incredibly friendly and helpful) and they bend over backwards to make your stay the best that it can be considering the restrictions imposed by the government. In fact, one staff member, Akile (hopefully, not misspelled), volunteered to get me a needed OTC medication from the pharmacy after work (on his own time). He was great as were the other staff. As far as resort amenities, due to the restrictions imposed, they are limited to essentially the pool, the beach and few other outdoor activities (corn hole, BBQ grills and fire pit). However, when they say they are experiencing seaweed on the beach, they are experiencing LOTS of seaweed. The resort has equipment out there every morning trying to clean it up, but it is really a losing proposition as there is so much seaweed washing ashore 24/7. So, be warned if you are planning on swimming in the ocean. Food onsite is only available from room service (pretty good food), but you can order from many "outside" restaurants via 869togo.com. There are some good restaurants from which you can order on this service (we liked Chinchillas a lot). You can also order groceries/alcohol/provisions via Rams.com (there is no on-site store open right now). They are very efficient and have a good selection. For us (a family), overall, the experience was fine as we just hung out at the pool most of the time. But, if you are looking for a full-blown resort experience, that is not what this is right now. We will likely go back after the country opens back up.
