Country Suites Absecon (Atlantic City, NJ)

We will be back! Very friendly staff, beds are comfortable, kids had plenty of room to run around and play, pool is open 8a-8p, Breakfast was very delicious and opens early! Only thing is our Room had a horrible smell from carpet we are guessing from being wet.

What do you expect for $89/night? Don't expect a 4 star hotel if you book here; even though the parent company is Raddison. Would I come here again? Probably not. But, it was cheap enough, and I hardly stayed in the room anyway. Here are my observations... LOCATION - much farther from AC than I thought when booking. about 20-30 minutes from anything. STAFF - Freindly and informtative enough. Helped me with working the jetted tub. More on that later. BREAKFAST - A bit of a joke, As it's just a bag with an apple, bagel, granola bar, and muffin (not horrible, but I was hoping for a dining area with a waffle station). POOL - Liner is black, so the water always looks black. Weird color choice. Worst part is that it's an indoor pool but the water is FREEZING. and thsi is in August! HALLWAY - Bleached spots that I can only presume cover up blood stains or diarreah. Someone was either stabbed, shot, or took a messy s**t. ROOM - Clean, for the most part. Another bleached spot, btw. Dresser leaned forward, so some drawers would not stay shut. They fixed this problem by taping the drawers shut, LOL! Small, uncomfortable pillows, comfortable enough mattresss. Bugs on the wall. Laundered pillowcases had small blood stains. Coffe machine. No toaster for bagels. Oh, well. TUB - "Jetted Tub" had 4 out of 6 jets actually working, Shower to bath controls are practically falling out of the wall and hard to control, very sensitive controls for hot/cold water. Infuriating. ICE MACHINE - on the 4th day I realized there were black spots in the ice, indicating mold. I had already used this ice for many days.

Unsafe and unconcerned Country Inn and Suites by Radisson was one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. To begin with, I do not believe they are part of the Radisson chain and are therefore using their logo name illegally. I have stayed in other Radisson chain hotel and this does place is an insult to their chain and standards. Secondly, my car and another person's car was broken into and vandalized. When the police arrived and asked for footage, they were told that the security cameras were not functional. The front desk person was completely uncaring and nonchalant about the whole ordeal and offered no words of apology or concern for what had happened. Third, the hotel site offered breakfast in their breakfast room. When I went downstairs for breakfast in the morning, the front desk person threw a bag on the counter and told me that they did "grab and go" bags (like covid), and that the breakfast room was closed. Finally, I stayed there for three days. Understandably, many places clean every other day. However, my room was never touched. There were numerous other problems, but overall I would not suggest that anyone stay at this hotel. It is substandard and not worth the money. Radisson should check this place out so that their good name is not affected.

Charged incidental fee for no reason Was charged for incidental fee of $100 and posted on my account. There were absolutely NO damages to the room whatsoever as we only stayed one night. Tried to call hotel but front desk is nonexistent. The number posted is (609)652-4050. Nobody ever answers. Even the night of check in, there was nobody at the front desk until a long time waiting. Corporate customer service says they don’t have access to certain systems and reservations. Just totally unprofessional.

THE WORST Qe couldnt find any enployees at first but when we finally did the man barely spoke english. Everything in the room was either broken or didnt work. There was blood on the floor and one side of the bed. It smelled terrible. We left immediately.
