Hurricane delay problem solved by Tina at Hampton Inn & Suites Thank you, Tina, for the wonderful customer service we received during our delayed cruise situation due to Hurricane Milton. If you want to meet someone who really cares about your situation and provides a solution, then you want Tina on your side. She was informative, understanding and interested in making our Hampton Inn experience successful. Always a smile and positive attitude.

Great service The Hampton Inn staff was awesome. We got in early in the morning from our cruise and they allowed us to go into our rooms right away. They also allowed us to have a later checkout and held onto our bags for a couple hours while we wasted some time before leaving for the airport. They were willing to work with us and very friendly. Rooms were big and clean. Beds were comfy. Only complaint is the pool was pretty cold. Overall great place to stay!

Not great Check-in went well. Our suite was on the 3rd floor. A sign at front desk said that the 4th and 5th floor were closed for renovation. Needed a nap after a long drive. But, loud running in room above us. If the floor was closed why was that? We called the front desk 2 times and were told that a 2 year old was in the room and that WE NEEDED TO MOVE TO ANOTHER ROOM. But, the front desk attendant who stated that she had been working for 36 hours said that they had talked to the people in the room above us and that they would have it stop. It did not. After dinner the running began and lasted until 10PM. Next day we talked to the front desk clerk, the one who said she had been working for 36 hours straight at the hotel. Her attitude was not nice and truthfully very off putting. At check out we talked to a man who said he was the manager but it turns out he was not the general manager. He was not responsive. Customer service lacking. Also, please know that the balcony rooms at night have a huge spotlight on them which precludes sitting out at night. Further, there were fleas in our bed the last night of our stay. Figure that one out, we couldn't. Good news, the hot tub was lovely and parking was easy. Also, Wal-Mart across the street was convenient. Breakfast buffet was typical Hampton, adequate. Friendly service at breakfast. WE kind of liked the hotel but all of the negative experiences, especially the front desk attendant made it a place we probably would not return to.

Hostile staff Lousy, hostile staff. Location far from city activities. Pool ladder var dangerously broken. Lousy furniture on balcony. Empty hotel and no late check-out for gold member. Just standard lies about big groups coming today. I do not recommend!

Terrible I recently stayed at the Hampton Galveston with my family so we booked two rooms. Prior to arrival I called to speak with hotel to request connecting rooms as well as ask about the pet fee. Agent was friendly and took note of request and explained pet fee. Day of arrival I got a rude call from Hotel as my card wouldn’t authorize. I explained to agent my banks lock to prevent fraud but assured her I was hours away. She proceeded to tell me she’d cancel reservation if I didn’t provide card over the phone. As an associate myself we’ve never done nor has it been done before so I told her I’d call back and called Hotel myself to ask to speak with GM. He was very rude from the get go but my mom let me use her card to provide over the phone. Once we got there desk agent was extremely friendly but I can tell by accent it was a different person. We explained to her about pet fee and she confirmed what I was told over the phone. At check out both rooms had a pet fee, even though puppy only stayed in our room. The only time we let her into the other room was at the request of housekeeper. She did poop but we were told no cleaning fee would apply if we cleaned it up. No cleaning fee was charged since we did clean it. I tried to speak with them to which they told me I had to speak with GM. GM has avoided all my calls. As an associate I didn’t complain (I usually try not to, but this stay was bad) but there were other issues. One, the hotel reeks of wet dog. The fitness center was closed with no warning on site or at check In. I’m a huge health but so this was disappointing. The cabinet that hold fridge was off balance or something as fridge was extremely wobbly. Our rooms only got serviced once even though we requested extra towels which we didn’t get. Balcony door does not secure properly, which seems to be a huge safety precaution. These issues were something I let FD know about. Just because we get a lower rate as an associate does not mean we should be treated so horribly. Any other guest would I’m sure receive a full refund and points and all I’m requesting is for the over charge to be removed, which is less than I should receive. It’s been a frustrating experience. What happened to the Hampton guarantee?
