Best Hotel/Resort on The Island Living in Houston my entire life, I have been to the island numerous times. I have stayed at “the best” hotels the island has to offer; The San Luis Resort, The Grand Galvez, and the Hilton (“The big 3”). Having said that, The Hilton has become my favorite of the three. The customer service is far better than that of the other two mentioned above. Peggy and Pam, here at The Hilton, made this stay unbelievable. I booked the Presidential Suite and arrive long before normal check-in time. However, Peggy and Pam made our early check-in possible and seamless. I recommend The Hilton Hotel in Galveston over The San Luis Resort and The Grand Galvez for meany reasons but especially due to the top tier customer service you will experience at this hotel.

Great place Jamie was amazing! She was the valet for parking, a receptionist, took our luggage to our room and was happy doing all of these jobs! Friendly and helpful in every way! Nice hotel, great view and really great hospitality! Breakfast was good, waitress/hostess was also very nice! We will be back!

Excellent employee: Grayson Gifford. I want to give a special mention to concierge/bellhop employee Grayson Gifford. This endearing young man was so considerate, attentive, and helpful. He really stood out and went above and beyond when we two older ladies had issues with things like lockouts and room changes. Please give him some sort of commendation if you can.

Worst Hilton ever Worst Hilton we’ve ever stayed at.when we walked in the room, we noticed that the room smell like garbage, my wife said because we are to close to the water and the smell may be from the beach, around midnight, when I laid down on the bed, I noticed a huge part of the ceiling is molded and Immediately found out where the smell is coming from. (Picture attached) It was too late to change the room, next morning when we went to the front desk and nicely asked them to change our room, she was very rude instead of being sorry about it and said that we do not have any room cleaned and we have to wait 3 hours for them to clean up a room for us, we asked for a manager to see if they can expedite the cleaning so we can get the room quicker, but when he stepped out of his office, very unprofessionally without even try to solve the issue or have a conversation, he said if you don’t want to stay you can leave without even giving our points back. His name was S.J Shaw and Hilton must be ashamed having these kind of employees as a manager. I wanted to take a picture of his name tag to complain to Hilton, he covered his name tag (Picture Attached) and called for security on me.!!! Why do they have a name tag on if they want to cover it? We’ve already made a complaint to their head office and waiting for them to respond. By the way, that happened on my birthday which got ruined because of one useless individual. The general manager of that hotel also should be ashamed for giving this kind of service to the guests, me and my wife are both Hilton Diamond members for many years and this is how we got treated on my birthday.
