Best customer service Any questions or concerns we had they responded immediately. We had several occasions where 12 of us were eating on the patio and they told us to leave all the pizza boxes and plates and they would clean it up. Very attentive and kind! Some of the best customer service I’ve ever had.

Retreat Location for Women's Retreat I want to send you an abundance of thanks and gratitude to the Hyatt Place Garden City for being the host location for the Alliance Tabernacle (Brooklyn) Women's Retreat. The staff helped to make it a most memorable experience. They went above and beyond to accommodate and make sure we were well taken care of. My thanks begin with Keroll Latayan who started us off with the process. Then the baton was passed to Mariah Velez who is to be commended on her professionalism, responsiveness, attention to detail, and accommodation when we arrived. Mariah worked overtime to make sure our rooms were ready. Thank you Mariah! Special shout-outs and gratitude to the staff, especially to Laila and Gabriel who tended to us when we arrived and made sure our needs were met. They had awesome customer service and hospitality. They were attentive and supportive every step of the way ie. making sure we had water, tea, and coffee, answering all questions, etc. Also, Reggie checked on us in the evening when we were sitting in the lobby, making sure we were good. Roberto and Hugo did not go unnoticed, they made sure things remained clean (the bathrooms were clean and stocked with necessary items). They kept smiling and making sure all was well. Lastly, the catering was the perfect touch, the ladies loved the food and the choices (minus the roast beef_) It was all delicious, well-presented, and set up on time. Kudos to the wonderful Hyatt staff at the Garden City location and the friendly welcoming atmosphere. We look forward to collaborating again in the future.

As expected Hotel was pleasant. Breakfast was okay. I was expecting the waffles to taste better, but they were not fluffy and were chewy. Hotel was clean. Hotel nice were brief and welcoming.

good hotel only one thing was not acceptable having bath room sink inside the living area next to beds. that was really odd. never seen that before.

Wonderful Stay with Friendly Staff and Great Amenities We recently stayed at the Hyatt Garden City, New York, for a wedding. While the wedding was held at another venue, all the guests from Ireland and upstate New York stayed at the Hyatt, and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. Positives: From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was incredibly fast and relaxed. The staff were exceptionally friendly, creating a casual and welcoming atmosphere in the lobby. The bar area, which, although located in the lobby and doubling as the breakfast area, provided a great space for our party of about 20 people to gather and enjoy drinks. The bar staff were attentive and made us feel right at home. The hotel's amenities were good. We used the gym and the pool during our stay. The gym, though basic, was quiet and adequate for our needs. The pool was fully enclosed and air-conditioned, providing a refreshing escape from the hot weather. It was never too crowded, allowing us to enjoy a peaceful swim. Our room was spacious and well laid out, with comfortable beds and a powerful shower. The pull-out couch was perfect for one of our kids. The cleanliness of the room was commendable, and we appreciated the effort put into maintaining it. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to major shopping centers like Roosevelt Field was a huge bonus. Although we joked about the footpaths ending abruptly, making walking a challenge, the shopping options within walking distance were fantastic. Going to Roosevelt Field, even though it's walkable, take an Uber for your own safety as you have to cross busy streets and the sidewalks are a joke. For food, we found an excellent solution at Whole Foods nearby, where we could purchase a wide variety of cooked meals and enjoy them in a relaxed setting. As a vegetarian, I was delighted with the healthy options available. Breakfast at the hotel was included in our stay and was served buffet-style with simple but good food. Despite the use of paper plates and plastic cutlery, the breakfast was always hot, well-stocked, and enjoyed by our kids. The staff's courtesy in giving a five-minute warning before closing breakfast was a nice touch, ensuring a relaxed dining experience. Negatives: While our overall experience was fantastic, there were a few minor issues. The rooms, although clean and comfortable, could benefit from a bit of tender loving care as they seemed a bit dated. The USB chargers for example are not USB C. Additionally, our couch had a small stain on it. Another point to note is the lack of a store within the hotel. However, snacks were available for purchase at the reception, which was a helpful alternative. In terms of transportation, while the hotel's location is convenient for access to major airports, the cost of Uber rides varied significantly depending on traffic. Our ride from Kennedy airport at 5pm to the hotel was $168, whereas the ride to LaGuardia in Queens Sunday Morning was only $70 even though it was further away. This is something to keep in mind when planning your trip. Overall, our stay at the Hyatt Garden City was delightful, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The friendly staff, great amenities, and convenient location made our visit memorable.
