Do Not Stay Here First I want to recognize the best part of my stay which was the young lady at the front desk, the engineer and housekeeping ladies besides that I wouldn't dare recommend this hotel to anyone not even a homeless person. Upon check in our hotel room had a stench that was so unpleasant we immediately asked to be switched to another room. The outrageous part was that the front desk agent, who was COMPLETELY barefooted, claimed he didn't smell a thing. Well after further investigation I myself found the reason for the smell. The room's carpet was covered in MOLD AND MILDEW that extended from the base of the ac unit to the other side of the room. After providing pictures and physically showing the mold and mildew to the agent I was finally switched to another room and this room was invested with roaches. Next was the very aggressive and rude gentleman that worked the evening shift on June 8th, 2024 that threatened to kick me out of the hotel simply because he didn't like me. He literally did everything in his power to attempt to provoke me into his stage of aggression just so he could justify him trying to kick me out because of HIS wrong doing. What started this nearly hostile encounter was over 25 cents!!!! Yes 25 cents!!!! This is what occurred- for whatever reason this hotel only accepts cash for its market items, well there was a young lady in line that was ahead of me and there was another lady infront of her who was checking into the hotel. The lady infront of me and myself were waiting to purchase our market items, we both had a bottle of water which was $1.75 (the hotel doesn't charge taxes on these items - I have no idea why) well the lady did not want to wait in line to purchase her item so she stepped up and asked the front desk guy how much was the water. He stated the price and she proceeded to leave him $2 which he accepted and she told him not to worry about the change. Well I myself do not normally carry cash and this hotel doesn't have an atm on the premises. So while waiting for my turn to check out I ask my wife can she check her purse for some change. My wife hands me 1 dollar and 2 quarters while she continues to look for more change in her purse. Now it's my turn to check out, I had the agent 1.50. We'll my wife was taking awhile to locate more change so I ask the front desk agent can he use the change that young lady just left with him due to my understanding of Laquinta's policy that front desk employees are not allowed to accept tips. This made this guy FURIOUS!!! He shouted NO! it's $1.75 sir!!! I asked well why not? Now I also gave him my room keys to be remade due to them no longer working...he began to use this as leverage!!!!! Because of 25 CENTS!!!! He then began arguing with me about the left over change from another guest an threatened to kick me out of the hotel. THANK GOD my wife found another dollar in her purse, but guess what? HE DIDNT TAKE IT!!! He continued to badger me until he saw that I was not giving him the reaction that he wanted and finally made my rooms keys and still did not take the remaining money for the water I attempted to purchased. When I asked for his name and the manger he REFUSED! He stated that if I had a problem I have to speak with a manger the next morning. The next day was a SUNDAY!!! Anyone who knows a little bit about hotels knows there never a manager on a Sunday so he was obviously lying and there should ALWAYS be a manger on duty for hostile employees like himself. This individual frighten my wife so much the point she was in fear to come down stairs unless he was gone. This agent is a disgrace to the other components to this property and the laquinta by wyndam brand.

Comfortable and good choices of breakfast Not as bad as people portrayed. I enjoyed every bit of my stay. Though, the microwave stopped working but a replacement was provided in no time. The fridge was working well but was shaking and I was constantly worried that it was going to fall apart. My overall experience was great. I will definitely recommend

Emergency Stay This hotel was very clean. The rooms were big and clean. Bathroom was very clean too. The hotel allows pets which was good for my stay. It was extremely quiet at night. If I need to stay somewhere again due to severe storms I will definitely stay at this hotel. It was a great hotel.

Clean and reasonable Nice clean property that is affordable and fairly well maintained. Access and exiting hotel is badly designed. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was hot and tasty but selection of items could have been larger.

Beyond Rude Evening Front Desk I won't stay here again. The front desk guy in blue shirt & glasses is beyond rude & wears no name tag ever. Rest of staff is great!. Refused to check in my spouse after I called to let them know & canceled my reservation without authorization
