Definitely NOT a Resort…it’s a Motel This is definitely NOT a RESORT it’s a MOTEL. The front desk staff were friendly and the main lobby smelled nice. There is no room service or daily housekeeping so they text you daily to make sure you’re ok and don’t need anything. The room had a smell to it that I can’t describe, the room looked old. It looks like a an old apartment that has not been kept up. The only positive thing about this stay was the location. You can easily walk across the street and you are downtown where all the stores and some attractions are. We did see bears in the parking lot which comes with the territory. Overall, I would NOT go back or recommend staying here. and I don’t need an automated apology saying your sorry about my stay, just do better.

Great Experience, Perfect Location Great experience! The perfect location, in downtown, close to everything and at the same time a calm place, excellent, polite staff and a special thank you to CHELSEA Supervisor on July 3rd who managed a room change quickly, with a lot of friendliness, experience and willingness to help

Quaint, Comfortable, Clean with Great Location on the River! We would go back! It's old so if you're looking for granite counter tops, this is not for you. There were no bugs, the beds were very comfortable, nice pillows, great water pressure, fantastic balconies! Pet friendly (fee). Pool. Friendly staff. Easy walk to Anakeesta, shops, restaurants. Free parking.

Outdated facility in great location Needs updates and major cleaning. Spider webs and deteriorating furniture. Gym cable equipment was all broken, free weights only. Shower dripped constantly and the finish is the tub was worn and handled rusted. The drop ceiling had really bad pain touch ups. The chain locked was bent going out into the balcony making it hard to lock and the tv was small with terrible resolution, the phone was missing nearly all its buttons. Good points…location was great and the beds were comfortable.

Passable at best We booked this hotel because it was advertised as a resort. At best this is a 1 star hotel. A resort designation implies that the facility offers more than just rooms to stay in. It should also provide a variety of services and activities. Having traveled extensively worldwide, I can say this IS NOT a resort. When we checked in, we were told (not asked if we wanted) that there would be NO housekeeping for our 4-night stay. This means we had to empty our garbage and ask for new towels (at a resort). There is NO restaurant on site and no breakfast offering. On their web page they say Hop on the Gatlinburg Trolley and enjoy a short ride to their Smoky Mountain resort (for restaurants). The "short" trolley ride is 21 mins each way once you are on board. To say the room we had was "OLD" would be a compliment (see the pictures). Walking into the room was musty and looked like it had been converted from an apartment complex. While it was wide and open, the carpet was splitting at the seams, and to say the plumbing fixtures were beyond their time would also be a compliment. There was chipping and permanent staining in the sinks and you could see where "slip strips" had been in the bathtub, shower, and tub spa. We saw (what we assume) was bedding for the "room change" in bags outside the door of the room being vacated. This was advertised as a 2 star hotel. The only positives of this facility were the location and the fact that the room was minimally functional. The bed (while hard) was acceptable and the water pressure was good. If you are planning on staying more than a single night I would look elsewhere We stayed in two other facilities at the beginning and end of our trip, they were both 2-star hotels and offered continental breakfasts and full housekeeping services on shorter stays. Lastly, there was the option of an "express" checkout by placing your email address on a checkout card and deposit it with your keys and they will email you your receipt. We have been away from the facility for over a week and have yet to see the email.
