Amazing for corporate events! Staying at the mansion for a corporate event was truly a great experience! Our clients truly enjoyed the upscale service & food, & the staff was exceptional. Helen & Ingrid helped us run the event & it went very smoothly. Also, those beds were magical!!

Horrible experience Worst experience I've ever had staying in a hotel. After twice confirming our reservation by phone, the second call letting them know we wouldn't be checking in until 8, we arrived to absolutely NO ONE. No one at the desk, no one on the floor. No one in employee only spaces (which were filthy and littered with old food and drinks, no one anywhere. For over an hour we stood yelling down halls, calling every number I could find on the front desk, looking for ANY type of employee. People already checked in their rooms even helped in our search. NO ONE. Finally, someone else came to check in and he went in search of an employee. Now its going on 10 pm. He comes back with a young woman from some event office a mile away, and she is visibly shocked. She very nicely helped us. Unfortunately the room had dirty dishes we had to step over, after a mile long trek up and down stairs with suitcases, and stunk of cleaning solution. She got us another room. The next morning I went to speak to someone at the front desk, and AGAIN, NO ONE is anywhere. How can they run a hotel like this? We couldn't leave that dirty hotel fast enough.

We found this property to completely unsatisfactory. Worst hotel ever rooms are like a cheap motel the staff is rude and their communication skills are non existent. I would avoid this property at all costs. This place is set up for weddings and events and not for individual family experience. If your looking for a hotel where the staff is helpful and courteous avoid The Mansion in Glen Cove

Not Yet Ready For Prime Time The Mansion is a nice property yet not at all living up to its potential. Fortunately for us, the rooms were clean and the location desirable. Not sure how many rooms are available in the main house. It appeared most of them were reserved for storage or special functions. The lobby bar which was quite modest (no bar with chairs at all) was available to guests only on a Friday evening but not on a Saturday. The upstairs lounge had been closed as was the indoor pool. Of course, one doesn't know these things until after check-in. It felt that if there was a wedding party or some other function going on at the facility it was at the expense of the other guests. Basically there was nothing to do at the Mansion; the tennis courts were in disrepair, no food or drink available on this Saturday besides breakfast . The outdoor pool area was nice and available weather permitting but again with limited hours. One highlight was the breakfast with a wide array of food choices including smoked salmon. But please change out the coffee, and provide some basics like cream for the coffee and salt and pepper, none of which were available to us. Further, I think most guests would appreciate an earlier breakfast, say from 7:00 am at the latest, not 8:00. The grounds are extensive but required better landscaping in some areas particularly removing many of the dead trees on the property and picking up the garbage strewn in the bushes behind the pool house bar area. Another suggestion would be to hire an interior decorator to do a better job in the common areas where décor and furniture were often mismatched and just seemed to be randomly thrown together without a cohesive theme or functionality. Maybe all this is a work in progress. With a little money, more focused management and opening up the entire facility on a consistent and predictable schedule, The Mansion at Glenn Cove could be great again.

Don’t waste your money! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. When we arrived the grand entrance to what appears to have been a nice mansion was clogged with rental trucks. We could not pull in to drop off bags. We drove a distance to a lot and then tried to find the registration desk. After walking around the catering hall for a while, avoiding running shrieking flocks of out of control children, we finally found a staff member who was not standing about flirting with another staff member. She directed us to the registration desk where we were ignored for about ten minutes by a woman on her phone with a customer. The first woman reappeared and directed us to our room, which was far away and one flight down. She showed us how we could walk a bit further to an elevator, which was out of service when we finally found it. The stairway down had what looked like a dried bad spill or vomit splashed over several of the carpeted steps. The hallways were pretty dirty. Our room was damp and stunk of cigarettes, despite the no smoking sign. The sink was slow moving, needing several minutes to drain if you just brushed your teeth. The closet rod was partially broken and the door was not set properly so it could have swung off at any time. I tried to call the desk to let them know the room smelled of smoke. After five or more tries, someone picked up. Saying sorry was a helpful as he got. The room decode looked like a dorm room. IKEA meets Walmart decode—not at all what the facade and the price would have you believe. The room was also noisy. At about 7 am I was awakened by a loud conversation that I believe was a manager in the yard near our ground floor window. We left without risking the breakfast. The stairs we dragged our bags up had still not been cleaned. The check out people listened to my complaints with no evident sign of surprise. After a very unhelpful’so sorry’ I was on my way. The trucks were still blocking the entrance. The photo shows why they were there. The service area was chock full of ink and open so all could see. Don’t waste your money.
