Wonderful people... I live on the water but decided to take our boat to some new waters & picked the Muskoka. After a little research found a very few, actually no options other than the Residence Inn at the Wharf. From the first phone call to the check out 4 days later the staff was outstanding & always accommodating. Guess what??? they answer the phone when you call, a real person. lol. We had an issue with the toilet, fixed in 10 minutes. Given the covid protocols, the breakfast procedure was seamless & staff awesome, helpful & friendly. Regardless of the wonderful staff I can't help but comment on the room views. The hotel is in a strange place which limits the views of the water to begin with. In addition there is a "boat museum" being built right in front of the only water view of the wharf & block at least 3 floors. Unbelievably bad planning. on the part of Gravenhurst. On the side of the hotel there is hill & trees preventing a nice view of the bay. The only views are facing the parking lot, boat ramp & a lagoon with a couple dozen run down boat houses. Without a doubt, the staff made our trip regardless.

Rivals the hotel I've stayed at in Europe Remembering when this part of Gravenhurst was nothing but empty field and then a hotel was there I knew I had to stay there someday and just did. Warmly greeted, and the room with a view that I requested did have a very nice view. The room had everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. The pool, the exercise area and the "take away" breakfast was really good as were the choices. I would stay again on another special occasion.

Difference of Opinion - Lakefront Came for our anniversary, wanted a beautiful lakefront room and for what we paid we should have gotten one. Got to our room and we are looking at a building under construction. So disappointed. When we called to inquire about why we had not received a lakefront room we were told that they considered what we were in lakefront.

Nice place to stay! Nice clean room with a decent view out to the water. Staff were friendly and accommodating even for early check in. We had left to go walk around town and in the time we were out they had stopped by the room to drop off a wine and chocolate care package!

Nice views Nice clean room. Decent water view however there is construction going on at the discovery centre and can be loud early in the morning. Staff are very pleasant and do their best to help. We had inclement weather during part of our stay and hydro created some issues with the microwave in our unit. A repairman arrived reviewed and determined microwave was not going to be repaired. A replacement was provided within 1/2 hour.
