Another stay at the Inn This is my fifth or sixth stay at the inn at great neck… basically if you’re staying in great neck this is really your only option! The other one ( to remain nameless ) is no bueno! Here you have Paul at the front desk… efficient as always… Felix the door man but also the one to come to for all concerns, really if Paul is not avilable… these two never disappoint! I had issues with my AC not cooling properly which wasn’t really resolved but two fans were brought to my room and made things more comfortable. Good strong shower… I’m happy to say the breakfast room is now being attended way better than before .. very clean! Very nice young man taking care to make everything clean and be super helpful. It is a bit hot in there though. The other issue is that many outlets in the rooms don’t work so that can be challenging. There’s a cute bar in the lobby to hang out in the evenings And housekeeping really does a good job keeping the rooms clean! Overall I had a nice stay and will be back!

Clean _ hotel with super nice staff The Inn at Great Neck is a nice place to stay. It is conveniently located and has ample parking opportunities overnight (as long as you're gone by 8am on weekdays) if you want to avoid the $18 valet parking fee. The staff is incredibly nice and friendly, and the people who clean and tidy the rooms do an excellent job (and I do not say this lightly given the amount of hotels I've stayed at in the past year). My only complaint is the smell of the room. It reeks of synthetic air freshener and I have no idea where it is coming from. I was hoping to find a plug-in that I could unplug, but never found one. Unfortunately, my room's AC also did not work properly and I had to turn the whole unit off to avoid freezing. The fan was super loud and vibrated and it never turned off even after I turned the AC off. I was only there two nights, so I didn't bother complaining bc I could work around it (wear a sweater, use earplugs). My friend's room also smelled (albeit to a much lesser degree). The room was spacious and had a little balcony with two chairs which was a nice touch. However, the windows and door to the balcony felt like it was going to come off its hinges when I tried to open them, so I let it be. Would I stay here again? Probably, bc this is really, in spite of what I described as problematic, a really nice, CLEAN hotel, with super nice people working the reception, plus, there's a restaurant that's open until 10pm downstairs, too. It is centrally located with a bakery across the street and many others within walking distance.

Great experience This hotel is in a great location, walking distance to everything. The staff is exceptional, cute bar. Real bonus is having noontime check out. it would be nice to have free parking, although the valet was super and offered to let us take the car in and out. Overall a terrific stay.

Good value, needs some improvements First the positives. Large, nicely decorated room. Very convenient with train station only a 5 mins walk and trains to Manhattan in 30 to 45 mins. Definitely a cheap way to stay in a nice hotel vs over priced shoes boxes in Manhattan. But there is room for improvement. Some staff are very nice including Felix in valet parking and the man im charge of breakfast, but some are quite unfriendly. Breakfast is limited and eggs sit too long. TV service is terrible..went out during NBA finals and needs to be reset each time. Toilet ran but could not be heard if bathroom door is shut. But all reflected in the reasonable price.
