Late Summer Lake Visit Had a chance to return to the Ritz after taking 2020 off. The hotel has had a major overhaul with updated rooms, renovated club lounge, and new family pool area. The updates are amazing and make an already great resort even better. There’s tons to do between the lake, pool areas, game room, non-motorized boats, etc. there are also bikes available, free of charge, as part of the resort fee. Dexter is by the lake and can help with anything. The one thing that is lacking at the resort are restaurant options. We couldn’t get a reservation at Linger Longer either night we were here. Went to Gabbys one night, which was fine, but we didn’t want to go back again. Aside from in-room dining or leaving the property, there are literally no other options. Understood that Covid has made hiring difficult, but maybe provide shuttle service to some of the local restaurants to alleviate the issue in the short term? It’s a problem that likely needs a creative solution ASAP. The reason why we continue to come here is the Club Lounge. Shirley, Ashley, and Lisa are huge assets to the resort and are honestly the #1 reason why we’re repeat visitors. The renovated lounge space is great and the food options (especially breakfast and dessert) take the pressure off of finding places to eat. Overall a great stay and we’ll look forward to coming again soon!

Wonderful close to home resort trip We had a wonderful 3 day stay at the resort for our 15th anniversary. Rather than drive 5 hours to the beach we drove an hour from Atlanta. This is just a beautiful location on the lake. Usually I am put off with added on resort fees but this Ritz really delivered on resort fees . We enjoyed the included spa area, beach, pool, bikes, paddle boards, valet and evening smores, my wife felt like a kid again. We received wonderful service everywhere from the front staff to all restaurants with the exception of Linger Longer which surprised us. I know hospitality is having a tough time with staffing and service but with the exception of Linger Longer everything else was top notch and the staff really tried hard.

Couples weekend getaway..... We’ve been here several times and the resort always impresses us. The staff and grounds are beautiful! Elizabeth and Ashley in the club level went above and beyond to be of service and make for a great club experience. Travis, Angela, Thomas and Avery work so hard pool side to make sure you have everything you need. Just watch these guys... they’re constantly on point. My recommendation this time as well as every other time has been to PLEASE make the pool by Gaby’s adult only. You have the huge family pool now, it’s time. We bring our kids with us at least once a summer but otherwise it’s adult only and like most adults on a weekend getaway we want to be away from screaming toddlers and kids puking poolside. (That really happened on our weekend) Meanwhile the family pool sits empty!!!! This busy Atlanta property should offer this adult only option. I understand it may take time, but please work on it.

Relaxing atmosphere with so much to do First off, this is our family's go to in the state of Georgia because every trip is a perfect one-no matter what time of year. The Ritz Lake Oconee has so much to offer from water sports, biking, hiking, golf, and spa treatments, all in a luxurious atmosphere. Even though this resort truly exemplifies what the Ritz Carlton experience is all about, there is still the comfortable lakefront component. Where else can one sip on a martini and have fine dining at one moment at the Linger Longer Restaurant to then have s'mores by a fire in the hotel’s backyard a few minutes later? This is where comfort meets class. When it comes to resting, the rooms are comfortable and well appointed. They were recently updated with a beautiful color scheme that brightened the look of the rooms. And housekeeping does a wonderful job at making the rooms appear the same as at check-in after every cleaning (which is very much appreciated by someone who loves a clean atmosphere). The pool area offers much relaxation time in its negative edge pool that is soon to become and adult mostly pool. With the current expansion to include a pool dedicated to families with fun water features, people will soon be able to spread out and truly have more space to enjoy the resort’s 3 pool (did I mention there is an indoor pool at the spa with its very own hot tub and fireplace?). Club level takes the resort to another level that can only be described as the Ritz within the Ritz. The ladies on club level have been there forever and they truly get what service is all about. The five food presentations are also scrumptious and delectable with plenty for all types of appetites. What more can I say?
