Slice of heaven We love the custom camping at Evergreen Lodge. It is perfect for those who have never been camping before. The restrooms were clean and conveniently located. It was quiet and peaceful. It is so much better than staying in Yosemite valley. The beds were very comfortable, the tents were nicely spaced out, and they had lots of nice little touches like complimentary s'mores at night. The property was beautiful and full of fun things to do. The employees were wonderful. Ryan from the bar makes it tremendous honey bear cocktail and an amazing ice cream sundae as well. If you are visiting Yosemite and are wondering if it is better to stay down in the valley at Curry village tent cabins or at Evergreen, definitely choose Evergreen. There really is no comparison. It is so worth it just to make the drive and stay at Evergreen. It's a little slice of heaven.

Great Family Vacation Retreat for Yosemite Our family of 5 spent 4 warm July nights sharing a 2 bedroom cabin AND a few nights in a Family Tent for the full outdoor experience. Cabin was homey and well appointed with 2 queen beds, 1 king bed and sleeper sofa, refrigerator, A/C, super clean and large bathroom, and outdoor deck. We loved it! However, I don't think our cabin carpeting was ever vacuumed as evidenced by our dirty feet. Family tent was roomy with sleeping bags, pillows, battery powered lanterns, and towels provided. Parking seemed to be insufficient for the amount of cars there. Front desk service was efficient and courteous. Its location is somewhat remote, about a 7.5 mile, 15-20 min drive off the main highway just about a mile outside the ranger kiosks into Yosemite National Park. Road is paved but at times it seemed to take forever to get to and from the main highway, particularly at night. Because of its remote location, you're sort of committed to eating your meals at the restaurant or tavern there at the higher prices they charge. Food is decent but service can be very slow particularly at night when everyone is back. We had reservations at 8:45 pm and didn't start eating (outside patio table) until about 9:30. Suggest making dinner reservations as soon as you know what time you want to eat. Breakfast is a better option, but also overpriced. There is a general store to buy provisions for the day and they provide free small bags of ice -- and larger bags for $5. We checked out the pool buffet dinner, but for $35 a person felt it was not worth it. We used the recreation room and played pool, foosball and shuffleboard. The hockey game was broken. Also played disc golf which was quite fun for us first-timers. Only major complaint other than the slow dining service is we were abruptly awakened at midnight in our tent when another party arrived past midnight and was super noisy getting settled in their tent next to us.

Wonderful stay! We stayed in the tent option that they offer and it was nothing less than wonderful. The shower area was extremely clean and located steps away from our tent. The food on-site was delicious and they had great beer/wine options too. Overall Evergreen Lodge was a great oasis after a long day on the trails in Yosemite.

Exceeded even our high expectations The customer service provided via phone/email prior to our visit was essential to our planning of visits to Yosemite along with scheduling of events during the time at the lodge. Can not emphasize enough how thorough and helpful that was for our travels.

Perfect for Families - Beautiful property with so many fun things to do! We spent 3 nights here in July and had a wonderful experience. We stayed in a small cabin that felt like it was right out of a summer camp. We played in the pool, enjoyed kids and adult beverages and an BBQ, played bingo, ping pong, zip-lined, relaxed in hammocks, and made S'mores. If you are looking for a place to stay that feels like you are camping but without all the work and in a comfortable air conditioned cabin, this place is perfect!
