Lovely place to stay in Guadalajara This beautiful boutique hotel has lovely shared spaces, comfortable rooms and beds, and friendly helpful staff. The terrace is nicely planted and quiet. We had breakfast every morning during our stay and it was relaxing and delicious with plenty of options. The hotel is located in a beautiful neighborhood, with plenty of options nearby for dinners. We walked to the centro a couple of times during our stay — about a 30-minute walk. The staff is all friendly, helpful and professional.

Gem in Colonia Americano The staff, the accommodations, and the location were wonderful! Built in the 1930’s, the villa and grounds are very well kept. I was told we had one of the best rooms #15. The room was spacious and bright. Ask for this one! Great bars and restaurants within a few blocks walk. We visited several other popular areas of the city, and we would stay here again for sure!

Beautiful property in a safe neighborhood I chose the Villa Gantz for my 3 night stay on my first visit to Guadalajara due to the location and all of the great reviews. While it is a beautiful property, and the staff very gracious and accommodating, they are still undergoing renovations all around the exterior of the property so I was not able to enjoy the outside garden areas as I had hoped, and there were some noise from the renovations during the day, as well as loud music until at least 11pm from the late night restaurant/club adjacent to the hotel. The room I was given was very dark with only one small window with a view to nothing, and not nearly as nice as some of the other rooms I had seen online, however the bed was very comfortable and overall the room was still very spacious and had a beautifully tiled bathroom. I really enjoyed the neighborhood surrounding the hotel, and it was a very easy walk to many cafes, restaurants etc and Chapultapec Avenue, in a very safe area of Guadalajara. I felt completely safe walking around the area at night as a solo female traveler. I would stay here again once the renovations have been completed but in a nicer room.

Private space, amazing staff I visited the hotel for two night at the end of February. Looking at the different options in the area, Villa Ganz seemed to have the best ratings on multiple platforms and I understand why. The staff is amazing, friendly, and helpful. The room had a private locked terrace, and I wasn’t even expecting the jacuzzi tub, but I definitely took full advantage of it! The hotel’s main terrace was under construction which was slightly inconvenient but it seems like it will be gorgeous when it’s done. If and when I find myself back in Guadalajara, I will be returning to stay!

Wait until after renovation We stayed several nights, in a comfortable room near the renovation area. Noise was not an issue; dust and getting around the space were problematic. The management works very hard and everyone was professional. Cleaning was good and bed comfy, but sticky furnishings need attention. No breakfast offered; again, construction. Overall, the focus felt much more on the renovation than guests.
