Beautiful Condo - Everything was Brand new !! - Doral Penthouse 6 Our family decided to give the Beach Club a try - We knew there was construction going on from hurricane Sally. The unit we stayed in looked completely new - Kitchen, bathrooms, all appliances. Must of been rebuilt. Beachy theme with nice furniture.
The amenities here are great - not your typical condo. tennis indoor heated pool game room for kids a few restaurants. Love the main pool and snack bar
There is still some construction going on but overall - we loved our time at the Beach Club

Poor maintenance We checked in July 17th and the door lock was malfunctioning and we got locked out. That was resolved the next morning and then our kids shower handle fell off on Sunday. We noticed the front door to the condo would close fast and violently and we tried to be conscious of this. On Sunday we went to our room after being at the beach and my wife walked in ahead of me, luckily our kids were inside. The door slipped from her hand and it slammed violently on my foot as I tried to enter. This caused it to break my toenail completely off and it was just hanging by the root on one side. Needless to say “my” vacation time at beach and pool is over but I am trying to let my wife and daughters have a good vacation while I sit in the room. We addressed the issue with the front desk today and we will see how it goes. Had this been a child it would have broken their foot or worse. Even Security on Saturday night when we got locked out said they opened the tower to fast as it was not ready to be occupied. Although intentions are well I am very disappointed in quality and beware your safety if you have children or older parents.

July vacation with kids and grandkids Beautiful location along the Gulf Coast with lovely, clean beaches, large swimming pools and spacious rooms, all with balconies overlooking the Gulf. Hope to return again next year. This is a t least the fifth time I've taken the grandkids and they always get excited about it!

The beach Club Avalon 0410 We had stayed at the beach club about five years ago and loved it. Not so much this trip. Our condo was not clean. We had pictures off the wall from construction and a large dehumidifier machine left in our bathroom. Also a printer in the bar area. There was trash and a dirty towel left in the drawer. Floors were nasty. The refrigerator on the left door you had to manually turn the seal because the spring or whatever allows it to turn when closing was broke. We had no air for the first two days. The description of the unit reads 2 queen beds and there was only one. This condo needs a lot of cleaning before it is rented again. We did contact the person we rented from and notify them of our issues, we were given a little discount but not enough for our disappointment. Also seemed as if we were bothering them but we felt our issues needed addressed. We were not planning on using a couch bed for an entire week to sleep on.

Beach Club Resort, Gulf Shores ALA, June 2021 This was our second visit and we stayed 4 nights in the Doral. We used express check-in and out through the app which worked fine.
I was concerned about construction but it was a non-issue. The crews appeared hard-working and tried to stay out of the way. The pools, balcony, and beach access weren't impacted in any way. All elevators were covered with plywood on the inside but worked efficiently, and we never had a long wait. All piles of construction stuff were kept out of the way and noise was minimal.
Our 7:30 rez at the Coast the first night was a disappointment. We had not gotten to go last year and were looking forward to it. We requested a table by the window but were told none were available because of rain even though the place was empty and never filled up. ( I think they didn't want to put us at a big table in case a group came in.) The bisque was delicious but lukewarm. The catch of the day was plain and the side of asparagus was cooked dry. Not the best and would not recommend. Possibly we just caught them on a really bad night.
We stayed in Doral 0709. The in house phone did not work for quick access to the front desk, but otherwise, everything was in fine working order. This condo didn't have some things that 0509, where we stayed last year, did (DVD player w movies, small library of books, throw rugs in the entry and kitchen, sign-in book), but it was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. We would stay in either again.
We rented an umbrella and chairs for each day there and loved the convenience of just carrying our towels and a small cooler to the beach every day. This side of Gulf Shore is not at all crowded and doesn't have the heavy development or commercialization that Orange beach does. Overall we had a relaxing, enjoyable time at the Beach Club and recommend it.
