GROSS Nasty Nasty Nasty. Dogs and cats everywhere. Pet and cigarette smell was overwhelming. I’m honestly not sure how it is legal for this dump to even be open. I laughed out loud when they wanted a deposit for incidentals. As bad as this place is, How would they know if I damaged something.

Never Staying Here Again The hotel double-charged our credit card for three rooms that we stayed in when we were there. They also charged our credit card after we departed for two additional nights that were AFTER our stay had ended (one was a week later, one was a day later). After a number of calls, they corrected one set of double-charges, but refused to correct the others, They would hang up on us when we tried to get the charges from when we weren't there removed. When disputing the charges with our credit card company, we were asked to prove we didn't stay there. Even when we provided evidence that we weren't in Texas, we couldn't "prove" that we weren't in the hotel - and our dispute was ruled against us. We ended up paying for four rooms we did not stay in - in addition to the three rooms we actually used. Staff who were onsite while were there where friendly and as helpful as they could be. We have stayed here every summer over multiple years, despite the dirty and unsafe conditions (e.g. ants infesting the room refrigerator, exterior doors broken, unlocked, room air conditioner broke mid-stay, broken pipes closed part of the facility) because no other facility was close to where our family has held a reunion. We will NEVER stay there again, nor will any of our extended family.

Terrible terrible The staff who actually work there are great. However the man who was rude and threatened to call police after I made pre-arrangements with the manager to pay for my two nights as I was scammed out of money on rental deposit. I’m a disabled veteran and I am homeless until the bank reversed the fraudulent charges on my account. I made a promise to pay and I had already paid for three nights before. This rude person immediately yells at me he’s calling the cops, wtf is wrong with people. I get it they have been screwed in the past but come on he and his owner are jerks I’d rather sleep in my car than stay in that place.

Just an overnight stop for family Used hotel.com to reserve AND pay for a "suite" with 2 beds as I really wanted o visit with my family that had a place to sit other than where they would be sleeping...they only had one with a king bed. I would have chosen other accommodations that were a bit further away in Mabank but I was trying to keep them near. We have stayed before when we needed a spot to spend tne night due to home improvements but we never took advantage of the "breakfast bar" so that I must rely on my family's impression and there wasn't anything to rave about so that I will take as an ermmmmm...
