A very special getaway We had a lovely experience at the Beach House Hotel, from start to finish. There were so many little details that made the stay special: wood in a wood burning fireplace, ice water flavored with fruit slices in the lobby, excellent pastries, coffee and tea at breakfast. We missed the wine hour, but I’m sure that was lovely as well. Oh, and it overlooks the beach! Steps away from a walking path, nearby Sam’s Chowder House. Excellent location.

Stay at least 3 nights to make most of the area and the hotel This is the place that we have enjoyed the most during our trip through California. Lovely hotel with lots of personal touches. Great room with amazing view; small pool that could be used until night, and great hot tub. Staff was welcoming and brought more pillows and other essentials needed. Breakfast was also really good - one of the best we had there - with a small but fresh and homemade selection of jams, bread etc. Stayed only for 2 nights and would have loved to spend more time there. Visited Ano Nuevo State park from there and JV Fitzgerald Marine Reserve, both highly recommendable.

Gets it Done This place is never going to be a five star experience but it doesn't claim to offer that. It's a good basic stay for hosting an event or getting away and not wanting to break the bank. We were hosting a small company event. Rooms alittle tired but comfortable and clean. Conference room ample for our needs including windows - hooray. Nearby restaurants make the place convenient and the catering they brought in was exceptional for breakfast and lunch. Each unit a little different making it eclectic but fun. Ocean views - what's not to like. All in all a solid B. Good value for price and nice location on the coast.

Perfect family coastal escape Lovely hotel, well appointed. Perfect for a quick family escape from the heat. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was more than comfortable and had everything we needed, including a fridge, microwave, sink, dishes, fireplace. The sofa bed pullout was fairly uncomfortable, but my kids are young so they survived fine. The bed in the room was very comfortable. So nice to be so close to the beach - we walked to the dunes and then to dinner. After we got back, the kids took a dip in the heated pool and then we joined them in the hot tub. Had a fire in the room as we watched a movie and went to sleep. The breakfast was delicious - the pastries were amazing! We will definitely come back!!

Nice, but expected more. The room was nice. I expected a little more and a little bigger room for the price, but it had most of what we needed. The A/C was only blowing air. We didn't want to waste time getting maintenance as it was a cool day and night and we opened the door. The view from the balcony was beautiful, although it would have been nice to have taller chairs to see the view while sitting. The balcony was not totally private as the neighbor's window was facing our balcony. I was a little disappointed in this, as I was wanting to sit and read as I looked out at the ocean. Sam's Chowder House is right next door and we had a good meal there. We drove over and then walked the trail to Maverick Beach. Nice walk. We only stayed one night on our way to Napa.
