Magnificent! Spectacular Rooms Views Activities and Service Magnificent! We reserved a 2 bedroom Suite for our grand twins 2nd Birthday. Absolutely Spectacular; the room, the service, the grounds, the pools, the activities. We were greeted warmly by the Bell Staff when we arrived and the Front Desk had our room and keys ready for us. The Suite was beautiful! Comfortable, Clean and the views are amazing! We settled in and went down to the outside pool. So relaxing. Then we walked over to the Biosphere Pool - Gorgeous! Waterfalls, Exotic Flowers, Rocks, and a fun slide. That night after dinner (we cooked in the suite), we listened to live music, watched the sunset, while we roasted marsh mellows over the open pit fire and night golf games. The next day after a very comfortable sleep, we visited the Farm Animals (roosters, chickens, pony, rabbits and more! Then we strolled over for the kids pony ride! Lunch and then back to the pools and then a spa treatment. We did not eat in any of the restaurants on this trip as we had gourmet food delivered for dinners. We are looking forward to returning and trying the restaurants and partaking in the wine tours. Loved every moment of our stay.

Didn't hit on all cylinders Let me start off by saying that a lot of the most recent reviews of this resort were very negative and that stuck in my mind. I am extremely easy going and when i'm on vacation i'm not a hard person to please but at the same time if I pay good money for something, I expect certain things in return. We wanted a 4 star resort with a spa and good food. We got the spa and some good food but the service here did not represent 4 star. I want to be clear that the staff itself did not underperform, there is just not enough. No concierge, no bus staff at restaurants and no wait staff period by the pools. The resort itself and the views are great. It is a very nice place and the grounds are beautiful. It is well kept and has a great array of flowers everywhere. The service and some amenities fell pretty short of 4 star or the price tag that we paid. We got there Monday afternoon and left Wednesday afternoon. Minerals is not on site nor is any of the lake activities. It's a 20 minute drive so be prepared if that's something you're looking forward to. The Room: We had a 1 bedroom suite with fireplace deck. It had a living room, kitchen, bedroom and a porch that wrapped around. It had an indoor and outdoor fireplace. Plenty of space and a lot of seating inside and outside. It was just my wife and I so we didn't really step foot in the living room or kitchen but the porch made it worth it. The bed was very comfortable. It was well appointed and nothing seemed too worn. We had 2 ways to access the bathroom, one of which made the loudest squeaking noise so we avoided using the bathroom from the bedroom. It had plenty of channels on the TV and I was very happy with the room. It wasn't a lot to upgrade to the suite so I'm glad we did. If we didn't that would've been fine too. The Pool: So we hit up the biosphere pool and the outdoor pool next to it every day. It was not crowded and was very pleasant. We had some drinks, snacks and ice cream from the cafe. Plenty of lifeguards at all times. The outdoor pool was very hot. It was about 90 degrees outside and the pool may of been 95 degrees. The indoor biosphere pool was a lot more refreshing but a little more crowded. We just wanted to cool off but had no issues. My only issue was no service offered anywhere. No wait staff if you want food or drinks. The cafe by the pool didn't have any hot food at all. They normally only have chicken fingers but the oven wasn't working or some BS. The only lunch is at the crystal tavern which is a walk and not convenient. We sat by the pool a lot and enjoyed it because the guests were very well behaved. The vista 180 pool we did not sit by but went by it. Very nice infiniti pool and bar. It was more crowded with more kids but very nice place. The food: We ate dinner at the springs bistro and chef's garden. Restaurant Latour was closed the 2 nights we stayed. Chef's garden was fantastic. The ambiance, food, view was all spot on. The open kitchen with the fire while being surrounded by the garden is very lovely. We really enjoyed this meal and everything about it. We went for a walk right after because it has an exit right to a walking path. Springs bistro was primarily outdoor seating the night we went. They had an extremely large (and noisy) group that took up 2 tables which slowed down their already short staff. We had to wait about 10 minutes just to meet our waiter. The food here was good. We really enjoyed the pizza's and the pasta and meatball were good. The view was spectacular and I don't blame the resort for a large crowd. The crystal tavern was the workhorse of the cascade lodge. Only place to get breakfast or lunch. They didn't seem to have enough staff here. The hostess had to bus tables but I was on vacation so I wasn't in a rush. The food wasn't bad. They forgot to mention a bunch of things like the pancakes with fresh fruit on the menu should have been changed to a blueberry compote that wasn't on my pancakes regardless. I ate them without complaint but it's the 4 star expectation that continued the next morning at breakfast. I'm not here to complain about the crystal tavern because the staff that was there was terrific and the food wasn't bad. Just trying to point out that when you charge a lot of money for me laying by a pool, eating, drinking and sleeping, don't miss on silly things. Spa: So my wife and I did a couples massage. We were there 3 days and only managed to get a reservation on the last day. The place was very nice and clean. We had a really nice massage and foot bath afterwards. The facilities were nice as well. I'd recommend some toiletries like country clubs have but just a suggestion. Still had a delightful experience. I recommend some spa services if you go. front desk: So upon checkout I went over my bill (which i usually drop a key and leave). I recommend doing this as a lot of stuff you just put on your room. Long story short, I left noticing $370 of extra charges that they were painless to remove but shouldn't have been there to begin with. final verdict: I do not know if they are having trouble hiring people, if they are going to hire more people or what their deal is. I know if there was a waiter at the pool, a concierge or even if they were transparent about whatever is going on I'd feel comfortable knowing something is up or something will be done. Bottom line is I had a terrific vacation and I was able to relax no problem. If you are booked here or are thinking of booking just know what you are walking into. The place is beautiful, if you are patient everything is fine and if you want to bring food to make yourself breakfast or lunch it may be less painful for you. For me, unless I saw a discounted room or was told certain things were done, I'm not sure how quickly I'd return. For me to take a flight and stay at a four seasons or Waldorf property would have been less expensive and I know what kind of service I'd get. i do hope they tighten some loose ends because it really is a beautiful spot that I'd bring my kids to.

Left traumatized and sad We had a very traumatic experience. We witnessed a woman overdose in the pool. Honestly this is not worth the price, and we couldn’t relax after the whole ordeal. Some of the staff went above and beyond! But the people at the front desk (not including Susan the concierge, she was fantastic) were sooooo rude, the restaurant people were awful. The food is forgettable and you cannot get a reservation anywhere! It’s nuts. Plus the golf course, pool areas, restaurants and spa are all also shared with a huge development of homes, condos and townhouses. It’s super crowded. We got a reservation for the Chef’s Table at 9 PM, and they sat us next to the garden. There were swarms of beetles on the umbrella above us and mosquitos. We asked to move to a table closer to the kitchen and away from the garden. They said that the other tables were for reservations. We were the last ones seated for the night! That’s not only bad customer service, it’s just mean. We were picking beetles out of our hair (they were crawling on my scalp and got stuck in my curls), smacking mosquitos and swatting the flying beetles. I will say the the housekeeping, spa and Cabaret staff and performers were phenomenal!! So incredibly fantastic, I cannot say enough. But watching someone seize after using drugs, getting kicked out of the pool, watching someone get carried out by stretcher, the family(?) who was yelling so loud you could hear them down the entire hall about payment for services and a woman saying “that is no way to treat my daughter” (is this place a brothel?), the rudeness of the staff, and the subpar food will keep from going back. Honestly, it was very depressing. IT IS 100% NOT SAFE FOR CHILDREN!!!! There are clearly drugs on the premises, a lot of drinking, bottles and cups of drinks left everywhere by the overly intoxicated, crazy, loud wedding guests. A kid could easily walk by and pick up a cocktail. They didn’t clean up until noon! I’ve felt safer and cleaner at hotels in Miami. I’ve stayed in hostels in Brooklyn and Chicago that were safer and cleaner. In conclusion, please please please stay somewhere else. And if you don’t listen to me, please be safe. This place is dangerous. Do not bring children, but if you do WATCH THEM LIKE A HAWK.

Nice stay but some things should be free and food is not the greatest We were impressed with the quality of the property. pool and rooms were fabulous. The only gripe I have is the quality of food and coffee. When paying this much for a room , the coffee should be free and not cost $12 for 2 coffees in the morning and a additional 50 cents for oat milk. Holiday inn and the less expensive chains provide this to guest for free. The other is the food, Its expensive and doesn't cater to gluten and peanut allergy people. When I did order food it was missing components. 2 avocado egg tacos, watermelon kids pancake and my wife's bacon ,eggs and hash browns was $78., They really need to tweak this and another pointer is our suite had no microwave, had everything but that. Suggest you go buy your booze and food before hand unless you want to spend a fortune. A Childs non alcoholic Pina colada and a rum and coke costs $30 at the pool and its nothing special.

would not honor my quoted room rate! DO NOT TRUST THEIR BOOKING WEBSITE - Booked 2 rooms early june for an anniversary celebration @ 569.99. a nite for two rooms for two night including tax. we checked in and when i asked why the total was more than what I expected they desk agent just said - for a deposit; should have realized right there something was off. I was billed almost 400 more than my confirmed room rate - $100 per nite per room! When I asked the manager Gemmy to look into it and provided my confirmation # and screenshot with the right rate he said he'd look into is and then ignored me. Tried to reach him multiple times, nothing I actually found their 'director of guest experience too and after a couple emails was also ignored. The facility, dining, golf is all very good, just amazed this place would blow us off when we clearly had a document that showed what we booked.
