An amazing place We honeymooned in Bermuda 50 years ago and decided to return. The hotel we stayed at then, Sonesta Beach Hotel, was no longer operating and we chose the Southampton princess. We could not have made a better choice. The staff is genuinely friendly and extraordinarily helpful. The service is exquisite. We loved every minute of our stay and will not wait another 50 years to come back _. This could not have been a better choice and we hope to return very soon.

Great hotel and experience. Joey D here, i love the size of this hotel, really large just like me. Clean, friendly and of course great food. Excellent water pressure on the toilet so that a plus for me. Elevators were a bit slow on the way up but that is to be expected since i am off my diet for now. Glad to see the big hotels still going strong, just like big Joey D.

No beach Beware! Like many of these fancy Bermuda resorts, the hotel is NOT on the beach. You have to take a shuttle bus back and forth which is annoying. It is on a mountain top. If you are looking to be on the beach, look elsewhere.

30th wedding anniversary It truly was a wonderful getaway! I will be 60 years young in a few years and plan to be back! Even though it’s very expensive, we knew that and we saved to enjoy this special occasion. When we checked in—our room wasn’t ready (my fault) I asked to change floors last minute...the friendly woman at the desk gave us a drink and appetizer on the house while we waited.

Girl's Weekend - Didn't leave the resort for five days!! Loved it! Room: We opted for the sea view rooms and when we arrived my friend said, "Whatever the cost for this view it's totally worth it". We were on the 4th floor, on the left side of the hotel. Restaurants: There's a steady run of shuttles to bring you around the resort. The first night we were going to The Dock but discovered that 2-3 of the restaurants are closed during the off-season. We went to the fancier Waterlot; the food was simply amazing! We didn't have a reservation and were not totally dressed up to par. They found us a table in the wine cellar probably to hide us away (ha-ha)! The first night I had salmon with a choice of a sauce, but the salmon was so amazing I didn't want to cover the taste up. The final night I had the Waterlot Oscar, melt in your mouth good! The Boundry was good; when we went it was jam packed and a little noisy. Windows on the Sound has a beautiful view of the other side of the island and a good size breakfast buffet, several gluten-free options. Willow Spa: We each had a spa treatment which was so relaxing. We then sat out by the Spa terrace still in bathrobes watching the sunset. This is the last night and we were going to venture into Hamilton but couldn't seem to get up to speed. This is when we went to the Waterlot for dinner again. Ok, truth be told; we left the resort twice. First to taxi to the grocery store for some room snacks and beverages. Second to go to the Swizzle Inn near the hotel. I have heard everyone has to try the Swizzle. We did; it was good and nice to see one 'local' spot. :)
