The Colgate Inn We have been visiting the Colgate Inn several times over the last year as a halfway point when traveling East. This trip we were visiting the college. The Inn is a special place and worth the trip even if you aren’t going to the college. The service, food and environment are all great. On this visit Karina took amazing care of us and in this crazy world right now to feel valued as customer means a great deal. Anyone looking for a weekend away won’t be let down by the Colgate Inn. We will certainly be back. And if you have a dog they are welcome. Ours has stayed in the past and that is how we found the Inn in the first place so another added bonus.

A Very Excellent Experience The room was very clean and well appointed. The staff was professional, yet friendly and helpful. We were traveling with our Poodle and found the Inn to be very pet friendly. The restaurant was excellent and dinner on the porch couldn't have been nicer.

Clean and comfortable I was born and raised in Hamilton. I chose the Colgate Inn for the central location. The room was.large and beautiful as.was.the bathroom. The staff at check-in was very nice. The restaurant staff was overworked nut the food was good.

A Gem in Hamilton, NY I have tried for 8 years to get into the Colgate Inn. Every time they have been sold out and now I understand why. This is a real gem of a hotel. It has kept to the old style of how inns should be. The lobby is set up for sitting and talking. There is a restaurant and bar off the lobby area that is beautifully maintained with seating inside and outside. The pleasure is sitting outside and watching the people across in the park and out in the main intersection of the town. The hotel itself is beautiful. From the mixtures of greys, blues and whites in the lobby and in the hall ways. The rooms maintain the same decor. The restrooms are designed in the art deco style that works very well. And of course with the beauty of the hotel, there is the staff that makes sure that you are welcome at the establishment and remind you that they are there to assist you in any way they can. That is from the front desk, to the house keeping crew to the servers in the restaurant and bar. There is absolutely nothing I could find wrong at the Gem in Hamilton. Go 'Gate!
