Worst Service you will ever get, not worth your time The best thing this hotel can do is find a GM that actually assist this hotel rebound from the current GM Carlena’s horrible service. They literally stole my money. Not pleased with the service. She doesn’t even care about the fact that I mentioned that I would be writing this review. I would suggest you take your money elsewhere, where they actually care about gust experience and service.

Dated and unkept This hotel needs a make-over ASAP. We stayed for 4 days for a lacrosse tournament and our room smelled very bad. I don't know if it was the cleaning solution, the toilet had overflowed, or someone died. Our friends said it reminded them of a nursing home. One of our beds felt like one side of the bed was broken and sloped to the middle of the bed. The hotel was booked solid and we couldn't get a different room. Our friend's room had a broken A/C and stains on the floor that they thought looked like blood trailing from the bed to the bathroom. They eventually removed the A/C unit from the wall and got it working again. There was a pack in play left in the hallway the entire time we were there, the lobby TV wouldn't stay on and the lobby itself was in disarray. The best thing about this hotel was the manicured lawn! I suggest finding another hotel if you are looking for a place to stay in Hanover, MD near BWI airport.

Dirty - stains and worn We recently stayed here and although the staff was polite and helpful and the location is good I won't stay here again due to the condition of the room. Immediately noticeable upon entrance to the room was a 6-7" red stain on the rug between the desk and the couch. My immediate thought was blood but maybe it was something else. The couch had some bright green stains that looked like gum and brown stains that I'm hoping were chocolate. The closet door did not close. There was a stink bug on the windowsill which does not speak well of housekeeping's thoroughness. Neither did the dust on every surface at eye level and above. The tile in the shower was cracked near the grab handle and the tub/floor grout juncture was moldy. The wallpaper was dingy and peeling. The carpet was rippled upward on the side of the bed near the closet. The light dimmer on the closet side of the bed was just a sharp metal piece, the plastic top apparently missing. The bedding was grey-white and could have used replacing or at least some heavy bleaching. Probably the worst hotel I've stayed at ever.

Seen better days (and nights) I was hoping to give this review directly to Marriott in a post-visit survey but it never came. We stayed here for 2 nights in February. The good: Friendly staff (only one person at desk/lobby. Place and rooms kept very clean. The bad: Greeted by Marijuana smell in the lobby through the elevator on the 1st floor. Queen beds were very uncomfortable and sagging in the middle. Pool was closed due to covid but website made no mention of this. Continental breakfast options were VERY limited. Muffins, fruit and oatmeal packets were about it. We've stayed at many other resorts during the pandemic with much better options. Overall this place is clearly operating on a limited budget and is sadly below Marriott standards. It appears to be appealing only for this who want to use the nearby casino while paying less for a hotel and getting a good contact high. We love Marriott but will not be back.

Less than usual Springhill Suites experience We needed a room close to BWI airport for an early-morning flight and knew that Springhill Suites usually provides a very comfortable experience. This particular location was somewhat less than our previous experiences in other locations. The mattresses on the beds were thin and "stiff" compared to other locations that often have pillow-top mattresses and, therefore, not comfortable. There was peeling wallpaper on the walls. Although there were THREE of us registered for the room, there was only ONE bath towel, three hand towels and one wash cloth available. In addition, there were stains on the carpeting and the refrigerator was not cold. Because we were only staying for one night (and arrived relatively late) and then leaving very early, we did not have the opportunity to partake of any food options available. The hotel receptionist told us that a buffet breakfast would be available but we were leaving before it started. Linens "seemed" to be clean, but who really knows how well they are "sanitized?" The hotel website indicates that they are practicing recommended "protocols," but, again, how do we really know for sure that they are -- other than that all personnel with whom we came in contact were wearing face masks.
