Great…just wish we could reserve a cabana Currently still here and absolutely love our cottage! Worth every dime. Just wish they would make sure our cabana is reserved like beach house. We have to fight for a cabana from other guests and others that are not guests. We are not the only ones that have voiced this suggestion. If we pay for a cottage we shouldn’t have to trek down the beach from our expensive cottage because people who move our towels want our cabana. Just a suggestion. Today we were lucky enough to get one and people who don’t even stay at the hotel took another one nearby from a neighbor of ours and as well had the audacity to tell us to turn down our low key music.

Location is perfect, service and amenities lacking Overall the takeaway is that it is overpriced for what it is. You're paying for an amazing location, the beach and water being so close and the amazing sunsets. The rooms look nice at first glance, but as you get closer things are done on the cheap, doors don't close, the fridge leaks, tiles are loose, there is a general lack of what you would expect at this price point. In addition, the first day we were there, items of clothing went missing from the room which resulted in us asking that we be taken off the housekeeping list for the rest of our stay. It was very unnerving to kick off the trip that way and no one was ever able to get to the bottom of what happened. Food was average, service was average, they nickle and dime you on everything. The beach staff were lovely, but front-desk and breakfast staff seemed to barely tolerate guests.

Very relaxing spring break at Coral Sands We spent four nights at Coral Sands over spring break in early April with two teenagers. The hotel staff was always friendly and welcoming, offering to answer any question or help out with requests or recommendations. The beach is beautiful with the chairs and umbrellas readily available; thankfully it isn’t the kind of resort where people wake up and put books down at sunrise! The rooms were in fine condition, if a little dated with soft mattresses. The TV was an odd situation with select channels available and some internet access for netflix/amazon but we couldn’t out how to access…and didn’t think to ask for help because we only tried to watch tv just before bed. The balcony in the room was a pleasant place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or a late afternoon cocktail. The pool was pleasant but we didn’t spend much time there. The beach restaurant was fantastic, the fish tacos and mahi mahi sandwich, as well as greek salad and chicken special were all enjoyable. The lobster BLT was fine but it did not live up to high expectations. Late afternoon happy hour at Tom’s bar was great with friendly service and nice views, it never got too crowded while we were there. My understanding is that resort has changed owners and is closing for 6months for renovations and updates. There are some minor things that could use updating but I hope they don’t change too much of the overall setting.

Excellent accomodation Coral Sands staff is exceptional. Each seems consistently happy and is genuinely truly eager to help. The beds are perfect, and the beach is fantastic. A great place for couples or families. And, an excellent spot to fly fish – check out Bonefish Patrick!
