Our wedding day We got married there two weeks ago and all I can say is wow the level of customer service was outstanding on all levels nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff and Maggie was an absolute star on all counts! The rooms were top quality and so was the service can’t fault any of it. If anyone is thinking of getting married the royal Victoria is the place!

Comfortable if faded opulence This was clearly once a hotel of great opulence, and some of this still remains, although a little faded. All rooms are suites, providing a spacious bedroom, an ante room for reading and bedroom. There is very limited hotel parking, but lots of free on-street parking nearby. The strange thing about our suite was that the television had not been tuned to any stations, so had never been used before. Very odd. A very comfortable place to stay though, although breakfast is not included in the B&B price.

Start to finish, I will stay again as I come to Hastings a lot! We plan to move to the area one day but for now we enjoy the hotels in the area

Don't Leave Anything Behind! I left my electric toothbrush in the bathroom by mistake when I checked out, and when I rang later to ask about it they claimed not to have found it, and despite a week of chasing what might have happened to it, I have ended up buying another, with no contribution from the hotel. So either their protocols for property left behind sucks, or worse! Breakfast was luke warm too, btw, and the whole place is a bit tired, with rattly sash windows keeping me awake until I wedged them shut.

Absolutely disgusting Please do not stay here, the rooms are from the 70s, smell, the bathroom was full of mold. This hotel is dated and makes you feel dirty. How you can call this a hotel I have no idea. Please do not stay here. Is not in a great area and quite scary when out and about. As soon as you come back into the room you can feel the mold.
