Hot tub no longer exists Hotel room review This hotel was a good option via points redemption for a one night stay in Helen. The front desk staff was friendly at check-in, and at check out. They answered some questions I had about the area. The room itself felt clean, and the AC unit was functionally perfectly. We used the hotel room’s towels for the indoor pool. The indoor pool itself seemed in quite disarray when we visited, with light fixtures that were uncovered, and some covered in duct tape. But I did see a construction worker the next morning replacing a lot of those. We were very excited to book this hotel because of the pool area’s hot tub, but alas, the hot tub that is featured in the pictures is no longer at the hotel. This was a major bummer for my son and I because we were looking forward to using it after going tubing in the Chattahoochee. The hotel breakfast was standard for Country Inn, and we made good use in the morning. The hotel let us keep our car there beyond the checkout time so we can walk into town once more, and get lunch. Parking at the hotel requires a parking pass due to tourist demand in the area. If coming to Helen again, I would still stay at this hotel for the indoor pool, just need to manage expectations for my children that ahead of time.

Great Experience! Great experience and affordable! We drove to Helen for a quick birthday trip. We did not make reservations before leaving and decided on this location upon our arrival. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, and we were able to stay in a suite that included a separate bedroom and living area with a sofa. The staff, especially Dora, was very kind and attentive. She offered great restaurant suggestions and tips for touring Helen. The hot breakfast and coffee was a great way to start the morning before heading out for a hike at the near by falls. It was also nice to leave the car parked at the hotel and walk to downtown Helen. Tubing was also in walking distance. We plan to stay again in July.

comfortable and conveniently located the room was clean and comfortable and overall we had a great experience. The hotel is conveniently located in town of Helen so you can walk to lots of restaurants and shops nearby, we got to see the yearly hot air balloons take off in the morning at the park just behind the hotel. The pool was warm and we would have loved to use it but there was a bunch of debris floating in it - someone should use net to clean it. There were lots of bikers staying in the hotel while we were there and many of them parked right in front of the front entrance so if someone was trying to pull up and unload their vehicle, it wasn't possible because of the bikes - I think the hotel should at least tell the bikers that they need to leave space for people to load/unload. Breakfast was nice and staff were friendly - the cookies at the front desk were a hit with the kids! The toilet in our room was very loud so we had to make sure no one was sleeping to flush.

Overrated and Needs Attention The front desk staff was great and made us feel welcome but it was downhill from there. The place is in need of painting in several areas and looks shabby with a dirty carpet going up the stairs, though it appears to have been updated at one point. When we entered our room we were hit with an overpowering chemical/floral odor. At first we thought it was a cleaning solution smell but after finding black mold in the bathroom (behind the door), we suspect the smell was to cover a musty odor. Unfortunately, we didn’t notice the black mold until later that evening and didn’t want to pack and move at that time of night so we just checked out the next day. The room was clean and well presented except the hair dryer was missing, but no one should have been given that room, especially at the price we paid.

Not impressed The beds were comfortable, breakfast was OK, and the employees were friendly. That’s about it on the good things about this hotel . Carpets in the hallway were filthy, walls needed repainting, TV was really small as was the room. Would not stay here again as there are so many other options.
