Hollywood Beach Suites, Ft Lauderdale This property was a great choice due to its proximity to the boardwalk and beach. The suites were spacious, clean and homey. They did not have a pool but plenty of areas to relax. But, with it's proximity to the beach, 2 min walk, no pool necessary! The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Very close to restaurants and bars! 5 min walk to Margaritaville! Will definitely be staying here whenever in Ft Lauderdale area!

AWFUL HOTEL WITH WINDOWS THAT LEAK WATER INTO THE ROOMS Do not stay at this hotel! My husband and I stayed here and had so much rain pouring into our rooms and on the beds we had to sleep in separate beds to find a dry spot to sleep. It was an uncomfortable and restless night. The front desk told us, "Buildings leak when it rains." Seriously?! The property manager offered no resolution other than a discount for our next stay. Seriously?! This was a very expensive stay and a very unsatisfactory experience. I wouldn't risk another stay here.

GO ELSEWHERE Pro: great location Cons : Old, dirty rooms. Musty smell. The toilet is so close to the wall, you have to sit sideways on it. No hooks for anything in the bathroom, including toilet paper. LARGE gap on the top of the door, so very humid room. Crusty bathroom handles. And to top it all off, we had requested an early check in, as we knew we would need it and when he arrived at 12, the front desk simply said “rooms not ready til 3”. We lugged our luggage around Hollywood for 3 hours and when we returned at 3, we were told that the room still wasn’t ready (check in is 3pm) and the reason we were told is because they rented the room out for the day, so it wasn’t ready. So we were unable to check in, even at “check in” time because of a scheduling conflict on the motels side? Yet charged full price…..I’ve contacted Rodrigo and Pamela both twice now with ZERO response. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. WOULD GIVE 0 STARS IF POSSIBLE.

Affordable BUT..... Hi- We are commenting on our stay at the Hollywood Beach Suites and Hotel at zip 33019 in Hollywood Florida for my wife's birthday from Jan 21st to Jan 24th. The front desk and staff were very friendly, but we are not content with a few things during our stay. We noticed a very unpleasant and unfair change in the parking. $30.25 per day is very excessive. One chair in the room was broken, and both are very uncomfortable. The bedding was showing signs of age, and should have been replaced. The channels on the TV were very limited, with most of the satellite channels not available. We do understand that the walls are very thin and we can easily hear our neighbors. We do admit that our affordable rate does allow some considerations for our concerns! In addition, if we pay the 24 hour parking fee, and choose to leave to go for a drive, we run the risk of losing our payment WITHOUT A REFUND if all of the spaces are rented upon our return!!! (The front desk informed us that the city has taken over the parking and was beyond the control of the hotel.) We feel The South Beach Hotel Group holds a huge footprint in Florida, and has made a greedy mistake by trying to make us believe that they were forced to sell their parking spaces that are on their property to the city. Last year we were given a parking pass. We would not mind paying for a parking spot ($30 is a little high), but truly resent the NO REFUND side of this parking policy. These considerations are extremely disturbing to us, and as a result we will reconsider our annual visit to Hollywood Beach and your Hotel to be no longer a priority.

Great spot! Not great customer service or rooms Too much money for what it is. The rooms sound and look cute on the website, but I now believe the reviews on here that it's a gamble which room you get. The one we stayed in had a teeny tiny bathroom and a bunch of space taken up by a kitchenette-ish area. Also, the shower door opens inward treating you and the bathroom to a spray of water that gets all over, assuming you turn the water on first to make sure the temperature is comfortable. Room was humid and just seemed tired. All of the room quirks would be more forgivable if they had any customer service. The woman who helped us at the front desk was very nice and helpful BUT if you need anything before your stay - GOOD LUCK! They do not answer the phone or return voicemails. I had a question before our stay and ended up emailing them but it still took days to get any response and no acknowledgement of the voice mail I left. Great spot for the beach with a few spots for food in walking distance but would not recommend or stay here again.
