Relaxing self catering stay We liked and enjoyed our stay as a small hotel in Waikiki. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Very central to beach, shopping, cafes, best smoothie bar next door, restaurants etc. Our studio was perfect for our needs - older couple, self catering (due to food allergies), close to everything, good bus stop so close (bus to the airport), everything walking distance from here. The bed was very comfortable, nice pillows and linens, lots of bath towels, beach towels, nice water view from our studio. The kitchenette had everything we required to self cater plus a large fridge. Pool area and spa perfect for us to swim, relax, sunbake, read, have a smoothie or bring food in. At night a restaurant opens next to the pool - nice ambience. 3 guest laundrys. Double glazing as Waikiki is a busy area - very quite in our room with the sliding door closed. Very clean hotel and our studio was spotless.

Do not Recommend Staying here Stayed at this hotel and it was the worst experience I have ever had. & other things in disrepair. Bath towel had make up smudge on it bathroom & make up smudged on shower wall. Informed front desk about dirty shower & towel who told no housekeeping available & it was never cleaned during my stay. I had to clean it myself. Informed the front desk about it & maintenance person did not show up so I needed to phone the desk clerk again the next day, spending time waiting for safe to be repaired on my vacation. The maintenance person complained to me about his sore shoulder when there to fix the safe & his pain about this. The ringer on the phone did not work I discovered the 2nd day of my stay so was not able to get any wake up calls. Hotel guests are expected to take out their own garbage during their stay at this Castle Resort? Front desk staff irritable regarding requests for garbage bags and clean towels. Then experienced various bites on my body about 1/2 way through my stay. Phoned the Front desk clerk about it. Housekeeping came up to my room to lift up the sheets and say to let me know there are no bugs, I let housekeeping know I already checked the mattress, when checked in. Housekeeping changed the sheets. I requested another room. When I returned later that evening I was informed of my room change & spent the night cleaning my stuff, cleaning the room I was moved to, etc. The Hotel DOWN GRADED me to a room without a safe, & the room phone did not work among other things in disrepair during my stay. This room was dirty also. Room phone did not work room & nothing was never fixed even though I reported these things to the front desk clerk, they would just tell me a ticket was sent. I continued to be bitten all over my body from whatever there was in the Bamboo Wakiki Hotel. I also had a sun visor I purchased on my trip go missing from my room. I will be paying off this vacation for a long time. I needed to purchase hundreds of dollars of supplies such as ziploc bags, garbage bags of my own (because the front desk clerk would get upset & tell me you are asking for too many garbage bags), treatments at the drugstore to treat myself before returning home, taking Uber (more cost incurred ) to a lot places to get supplies at Hardware stores, Longs drugstore, etc. I was not able to go on a dolphin excursion & lost money on this. I had to throw out new things I got on my trip to Hawaii, clothing, new rolling knapsack for travelling, other belongs brought from home, hanging toiletries bag, toiletries, & luggage is ruined, lots of belongings ruined and thrown out that cannot be properly cleaned. I used my cell phone initially because I don not like to bother people but was on hold for about an hour & concerned about roaming charges I would incur. I needed to use the phone at the Front desk, the front desk clerk did not allow guests to press the numbers on the phone to the places I called & needed to press numbers for the menus. I would end up losing the calls & needed to ask the front desk clerk to dial again. She would point her finger at me and tell me no . I would lose the calls, spent about 4-5 hours trying to make phone calls from the front desk 1 day & the next day about a couple more hours again. I tried my best not to bring this infestation home from the hotel and even stayed at a hotel in my town for 2 nights & since it was booked last minute costed about $600. to try to treat myself & luggage but to no avail it came to my home. Continuing to do treatments on myself & home. I have spent more $2000.00 & been charged for a hotel stay that was a nightmare. I am continuing to spend money on my own medical treatment needed from staying at this hotel & treat my home. I sought medical treatment upon return to my home country & off work sick for a little over a week after seeing a doctor from staying at this hotel. Medical professional seen informed me what I have on me (more than 1 parasite) would have been gotten from the bedding/linens in the hotel I stayed at related to poor cleaning. I used the hot tub & pool early during my stay & do not recommend it. I have also been referred to specialists, which means missing more time from work in the future to attend appointments. The Manager at the hotel tried to blame the infestation on me, when I have travelled in Europe, NYC, LA, & other places, never have I ever experienced getting bitten from head to toe, so much that sleep was impossible. My dream vacation turned into a nightmare. It has cost me thousands of dollars more & may even lose my job because of this related to sick time of over a week after seeing 3 medical professionals since returning home & off sick for over a week with a note for this. I had emailed the Manager of the Hotel while on vacation but no response. Have contacted the administration of Castle Resorts Hotel, let administration of Castle Resorts know I would prefer to deal with them, giving them the rationale in my email, & Cc'ed th Manager requesting to deal with Castle Resorts Admin who emailed me back that they forwarded it to the Manager of the Bamboo Wakiki Hotel. The reply from management continues to place the issue with the hotel room on the guest and complained to me about the $200 ish amount they spent on a special cleaning of the room I was in, when I have spent thousands of dollars Continuing to do so) treating myself medically & my home for the parasites brought back of more than 1 on myself and in my belongings. Thus far I have been declined any sort of refund by the hotel. The booking company I used has also not had any adequate outcome with their responses not being returned by management from my last conversation with them.

Unfortunate Stay We have stayed at this hotel for 15 years. It has gotten very pricey. We stay in a privately owned room. We rent through the owner. Her room is updated and very nice however to cluttered. We could not use the pool for over 2 weeks. It was scuzzy. No safe in the room no barbecue. Homeless person came went in hot tub. One night there was a drunk sitting in the lobby by the front door barfing in a bucket. No one seemed to care about the drunk however they did everything to get rid of the homeless person. It is not the staffs fault. The staff they have work very hard. They need more staff. Shame on us for not reading the contract. She changed the contract without saying anything. She beat us for our security deposit which she has had since 2021. Bamboo is a class C hotel masquerading as a class A hotel

Convenient Central Peaceful We stayed in an apartment here that was run through Air BnB. Fantastic. 2 streets back from the beach. Walking distance to everywhere in Waikiki. Beautiful pool, spa and garden. Lovely reception staff and so helpful. Has its own restaurant where we ate one night. Great food.

Don’t do it!! Scam Alert!! Scam!!!! They say one price and then charge you $206 when you get there on top of your resort fee and ticket price!! No parking like listed had to pay $50 and park 5 blocks away… and disguisting rooms. No comforter on the bed just sheets… that smelled like old sweat!! The shower was broken squeeeled super loud and then water started leaking out of the tub. The valances were broken and stuck open so I couldn’t close out the light or public eye. Broken elevator and cardboard duck taped to the floor over the carpet in the hallway leading to the room. Do not stay here!!
