Not worth the money. Stay at the Marriott next door Do NOT go to this property. The Pool was closed for remodel. (Although no one seemed to be working on it) our room had gust bunnies on the moldings and a doorway that didn’t open or close properly. The breakfast was held on the 3rd floor in which you had to literally walk through the gym area as people were trying to work out. Once you arrived for breakfast it was half inside, half outside. There were birds all over. It was disgusting. And Although not a huge deal, the exceptionally long line and wait for the elevators was frustrating by the second day.

Clean, comfortable rooms two blocks and two minutes from Waikiki Beach This is a clean, comfortable property with friendly and helpful staff but few amenities other than a small pool, laundry and small fitness center. It is an easy two block walk to Waikiki Beach and also an easy walk to the Waikiki aquarium, zoo and shopping. There is little on site dining except for a little grab and go burger counter and a Domino's Pizza. Breakfast buffet is included at least for World of Hyatt members (free to sign up). The elevators require your room key so the property feels very safe and secure. My room did not have a particularly good view but maybe other rooms do. If you are looking for a beautiful ocean front view, lush landscaping and beautiful grounds and pools this is not it. However, if you need a clean, comfortable, safe room with helpful staff at a better price point ( for Waikiki, that is) then I would recommend Hyatt Place.

My experience The pool is down for 3 months, pigeons raid the breakfast area, birds come into the lobby and waiting area, I was charged a destination fee for amenities I did not get. The ac in my unit did not work it took the tech all day to complete. They didn’t clean the rooms daily until well into the afternoon.

Not worth the price Beds were comfortable, birds ate with you during breakfast, there's bird feces all over the patio, tables, and chairs for breakfast, no available pool, chairs in the general seating area are filthy, hardly any swim towels available, and very scratchy bath towels.

This may not be the Hyatt for you. Consider the Hyatt REGENCY. This location is CLOSE to the beach BUT NOT BEACH FRONT. It is about a 5 minute walk away. This hotel has mini fridge in every room BUT NO MICROWAVE in the room, only 1 shared microwave in the lobby. It did have a cute little coffee/tea solo cup maker in the room. The rooms and modern and clean and the balcony opens so you may sit outside and enjoy the weather (not so much the view depending on which direction you are facing). It is easy to valet your vehicle (but pricey $55/night) & the valet people are really nice and pretty quick. Service staff and house keeping are really nice and professional, BUT the food onsite is lacking. "The Placery" only has a few items on their menu, and the little snack area is a glass display case with candy and drinks. NO VENDING MACHINES onsite either. There is a Dominos pizza attached to the property that is open until 1 am, and Food trucks just outside and an ABC Store next door. Breakfast is pretty decent and they rotate the meats (bacon, chicken sausage, Portuguese sausage) everyday, but the oatmeal, yogurt, cereals/breads, rice, miso, tofu/kimchi are every day standards. Breakfast is served in and OUTSIDE kitchen/rooftop type area, so be careful of the birds. The service staff does their best to shoo the birds away though. The pool was closed the duration of our stay, but we were told we could use the pool at a neighbor hotel (which we never did). The reason this hotel got a "2 Star" which is really a 1.5 star btw, is the elevator system. One tower has 2 elevators for 20 floors, the other side has 3 elevators for 12? 15? floors. During high traffic times: breakfast, morning rush, check out, check in, dinner time, etc. expect to wait in line for atleast 7-10 minutes to be able to squish in. YES, SQUEEZE IN. If you don't like people all up in your personal space, this hotel IS NOT FOR YOU. The people working at this hotel were all very friendly and professional, its just the building and layout itself wasn't thought out well.
