Best Hotel Staff Around The beds were only full size beds so not very much room especially since we’re used to a king. Our ocean view rooms were nice except for the fact of two other taller hotels between us and the ocean. Besides those issues, the staff has done an excellent job at keeping an old building looking clean and well kept. The staff and particularly the valet boys are what gives the Lotus the very good review. Cody the valet guy was awesome. The Lotus is really lucky and fortunate to have employees like Cody and the other guys and girls who care that much about their jobs and the establishment they represent.

Our stay at the Lotus at Diamond Head I found the room accommodations very good. I also found the staff, especially Rhayan, Katie, Melon, Rhian, Yoobi, Cody, and Ardean were very helpful and courteous. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again when we return to the islands. We also enjoyed the restaurant and the grab and go breakfast items.

Location, beauty, amazing staff, well appointed, understated, hits all of the marks. As a family that knows Oahu well, this location cannot be beat. Just far enough from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, yet close enough to stroll to all the spots. Private beach just behind for swimming. Rhian and staff are always friendly and attentive. The welcome offering is a nice touch. The hotel is so tastefully decorated, understated beauty. Low-key warm ambience the restaurant posts and impressive menu. We love staying here as a treat/alternative to staying with family when we visit.

Deceptive This hotel is very deceptive. The pictures are misleading as the hotel is in fact stucked in the middle of higher buildings so the main view is on a parking lot and not the sea. The night manager was rude and obnoctious when we complained about the room. In addition, there was some credit card scam attempts prior to arriving and we were unduly charged 50 USD after departure. Note that booking.com interviened professionaly in our favour. Poor experience in otherwise great Honolulu.

Amazing hotel What a wonderful hotel. The location was perfect for us. It’s at the end of the Waikiki strip, so quieter than other places, and the beach just out front is great for swimming and snorkeling (calm waters and few tourists). It’s a small, boutique hotel, so that also contributes to it being quiet and relaxing. The room itself was amazing: spacious, clean, well-made, extremely comfy (firm) bed and pillows, great aircon, fantastic views of beach and Diamondhead. The staff very nice and amenities were great. You have access to free beach towels and chairs, as well as free bike rental (which are great quality), and even easy access to a carshare. Lastly, while this may seem minor, we got a fair amount of happiness out of being able to go multiple times to the restaurant inside the hotel (Arden). They have amazing cocktails, maybe the best fries I’ve had, and a great menu of creative dishes. I think we went to their happy hour 3-4 times for a cocktail and fries, and so at this point I think I did try most of their drinks!
