Very messed up front desk area I booked through booking.com and when I got to the front desk they took my credit card, but I had already paid through booking.com and they charged me twice. Still have not gotten a refund for one charge & to add to the confusion they are rebranding to a Holiday inn. Buyer beware!

Nice room; no amenities, no pool, no restaurant, no lobby The room was renovated and had a nice ocean view. I was charged a resort fee and amenity fee although no amenities were available due to massive construction - no pool, no fitness center; no restaurant; no lobby. There was active construction impacting the elevators and desk. The hotel should have suspended the resort and amenity fees until pool, etc. were available. I plan to contact Holiday Inn about the poor showing by this hotel.

Great place in Honolulu I love this place and was here during construction. I mainly only slept here but my sleep was amazing. The room was small but decorated nice. I love the water theme. so beautiful. The room was quiet and dark, perfect for sleeping. The bathroom was small but it was perfect for a solo traveler. I love the shower and the fixtures. My only complaint would be how dirty the windows were. The staff is so amazing and accommodating.

Under renovation I was pleasantly surprised by the Maile Sky Court, the downstairs reception area is under major renovation and there are a few annoyances with not all the lifts reaching the lobby but the room itself was great. The renovations look just like the pictures, the beds were new and comfortable and we had a great view of the city overlooking the mountains. The room is small but we had no intention of spending much time in there with Waikiki so close! It would be good if the lobby could get a set of scales to check baggage as well, that was the only thing we wanted that they didn't have.

Ask first, if construction is complete! Maile Sky Court may be on the verge of being a deluxe hotel worthy of its cost but at the moment, construction is limiting its amenities. Our room was small but well-laid out and newly renovated; it had a small refrigerator, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker, as well as a TV, clock radio, extra pillows, and plenty of outlets to charge phones & laptops. However, the pool is closed, the elevators are extemely slow, and the window air-conditioning unit kept cutting off, so that it was alternatingly too cold and too hot, no matter how we adjusted it (this normally wouldn't matter, since the outside temperatures were PERFECT, but as is common with a skyscraper, the window opens only a few inches). On some days we had 2 of the Keurig cups for regular coffee, on others only decaf and tea; there isn't adequate space to hang towels in the bathroom, and only one small waste basket in the bathroom, in spite of the potential to generate trash in the kitchenette. But these are small complaints, and we were very happy there because of the (1) spectacular view of the ocean out our window! (2) helpful, professional, and amiable staff; (3) convenient parking garage in the building; and (4) excellent location, within walking distance of many restaurants, Ft Derussy Park, and the beach.
