Pagoda Hotel

Amazing experience My first time arriving to oahu late at night and completely lost pagodas made me feel comfortable and secure. The staff is pleasant and asked if I needed anything and gave me directions to necessities and food for my stay. Beds are comfortable and room is great.

Solid Breakfast, but Room for improvement Pros: • Excellent location, within walking distance to Walmart, Target, Don Quijote, and Ala Moana Mall for affordable shopping. • Situated away from the busy main road, offering a more peaceful environment. It took me about 20 minutes to walk to Waikiki (shorter depending on your pace). • Amazing value for breakfast at $5.23 USD, with a menu offering waffles, pancakes, omelettes (with options for bacon, Portuguese sausage, or linked sausage), and healthy cold breakfast options. Highly recommend not missing out. The restaurant staff is fantastic! • Spacious rooms with comfortable beds, and a TV with a selection of channels. • The pool area is nice, with plenty of sun loungers and pool towels available. However, the pool does close early, which is a slight downside. Cons: • The hotel rooms are dated and in need of renovation. • The room had a musty smell, and the carpet and bed showed stains, some of which looked like old blood stains. The carpet also felt dirty and smelled of urine, while the curtains appeared unclean. • The kitchenette was old and rusty, and there were no pots, pans, or cooking utensils provided, which raises the question of why they offer kitchenette rooms. However, they did provide bowls, plates, and cutlery. • Housekeeping is provided only every 4 days, so during our 5-day stay, we only had housekeeping on the last day. Guests are expected to take out their own trash and towels, and if you need anything, you’ll need to go downstairs to reception. Essentially, you’re handling your own housekeeping. Overall: If you’re looking for affordable accommodation away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, with convenient access to shopping, this hotel is a good option. We spent little time in the room, so it served its purpose as a place to sleep. Would I stay here again? Very unlikely. But I would come back for breakfast.

A budget friendly hotel The Pagoda is a great alternative for those looking for a budget friendly hotel. It's not in Waikiki so you avoid the crowds and it is walking distance from Ala Moana and the beach. They also offer a $5.00 breakfast coupon and the food is great.
