As close to paradise as you can get. We were right on the Caribbean with many activities planned around the sea from snorkeling to fishing to paddle boating to kayaking and more. The excursions were phenomenal but if you chose, there was plenty to do at the resort. The staff was incredible from housekeeping to wait staff to the concierge . By the second day they knew our names. If there was anything we needed or wanted they did their best to make sure that we got it. And I haven’t even mentioned the beauty and intimacy of the resort. You will have to see that for yourself.

Belizean Dreams paradise. Vey personal, not like the big resorts where no one knows your name. The staff always greeted us by name and with a warm smile. The food was more of a menu style and very well prepared, more than enough to fill me. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. We got couples massage, very professional, very relaxing. The snorkeling was well organized and absolutely stunning. They have a couple of golf carts that can be rented at a reasonable rate so you can explore Hopkins. A few mornings the water was glass smooth, excellent for kayaking and paddle boarding, which are provided. My favorite part is the staff, wonderful, hard working people who want your experience to be the best they can make it.

Elegant, family friendly resort - dream location Belizean Dreams Resort is a gorgeous property with elegant villas on the beach just a short ride from Dandriga and 1 mile from Hopkins (charming town). From the fantastic cuisine, flowers on our bed every night and delicious cocktails to the way that everyone embraced our children like their own, it was our home away from home in paradise. Our stay was luxurious and so personal. (Maximum of 80 people and never feels crowded - so much space to spread out.) We have travelled the world for decades and this is the best resort we have ever stayed at. It is unparalleled. There were quiet afternoons on the beach and by the pool on sun beds and chaise lounges and days of adventure too….see itinerary created for us by Harilyn below! My husband and I celebrated our 20th Anniversary by renewing our vows on the beach and the wonderful team at Belizean Resorts created such a personal and elegant ceremony for us - complete with a wedding cake, gorgeous flowers, champagne and a private dinner steps from the beach. We also celebrated my 50th birthday- complete with balloons and a mango cake - that was amazing! (The pastry chef at the resort is phenomenal.) And now for the adventures that Harilyn planned for us and the other guests: Jungle zipline and cave tubing with Steven. beautiful crystal cave! Snorkeling: with Linda and Jose where we saw parrrot fish and tarpin, dory fish and held brittle sea stars, speckled eagle ray and gentle nurse sharks. And the most beautiful coral. Linda and Jose gave the most extraordinary tour of the reef and how to carefully explore it and keep it pristine. Linda taught my daughter how to peel a coconut! Monkey River: Thank you Kevin for the drive to Monkey River! And thank you Jeremy for the boat ride down Monkey River during which we picked up baby crocodiles right from the river shore, gently caught baby iguanas from the trees, explored the rainforest and saw baby and mama howler monkeys and listened to the roar of Dad howlers, held inland blue crabs, watched graceful manatees surface, learned about edible and medicinal types of trees, had lunch at town Monkey River (amazing), and purchased some beautiful beaded pieces and ironwood carved items. Bocawina Reserve and Waterfall Hike: Jose and Alden as guides. At termites and palm nuts and learned about medicinal trees - and ones to stay away from! (Bastard tree). This is a strenuous climb to a gorgeous turquoise pool and waterfall. But not for the faint of heart - rope climbing and steep heights. But my 12 year olds and I did it and it was worth it - stunning views. Actun Tunichil Muknal (ATM) Cave tour: with Oscar. Spelunking. 3.5 hours through gorgeous caves with waves of quartz formations and weaving through the cavers and up and over rocked and through crevices of the river running through it. Then up to the archaeological finds at the top of the cave formation - it is too magical to try to describe. If you are up for an Indiana Jones style adventure - do this. It is amazing and our 12 year old twins had a blast. There is a fair amount of climbing and tight spaces so not for those who are claustrophobic. Xunantunich Ruins and Archaeological site: with Kevin - pivoted last minute and tanked up the van and drove across to the Cayo District for us. Ruins and mythology were fascinating and the views were stunning. Iguana Conservatory was remarkable - green iguanas are becoming extinct. There is an opportunity to hold baby iguanas and a rescued iguana who cannot be released back into the wild. 50th Anniversary and Wedding Renewal Vows Day: Thank you Delcie and Harilyn for planning everything to perfection. The flowers, ceremony with drummers, champagne, amazing cake and private dinner on the beach. It was pure magic and I will forever be grateful to you. And thank you also to Herman and Ivory as our photographers. Thank you Fred for performing our ceremony with such grace as the justice of the peace and minister. Thank you Desiree for our hair and make up- my daughter and I have never felt so beautiful! And these are just a few of the incredible memories of Belizean Dreams Resort that we will take home with us. For our dear friends in Belize… Harilyn, so many thanks, you are the person who created our dream vacation. Our stay was pure magic because of you. Madeleine says- you are besties forever overseas ___ Jose, thank you for all that you taught us about Belize and for your your hours of kindness and patience with our son (Jose spent hours teaching and exploring with our son who loves wildlife) - Carter is still talking about his time with you. _ Alex - our evenings at dinner with you were lovely- thank you for making us laugh and for your great care. And I challenge you to a round of No Mercy Uno on our next visit! _ Delcie - thank you for helping us plan our ceremony to renew our wedding vows - you made this experience so special for us - we are so grateful to you. Xoxo _ Charles - thank you for the very best mosquito bites and coco locos. And thank you for taking care of our daughter’s jellyfish sting! _ Kevin, thank you so much for driving us to all of our adventures - the smoothest ride - even with all the speed humps! And thank you so much for pivoting on our last day to take us across to Cayo District to see the Mayan ruins! It made our last day so special. Bruno - we DO talk about Bruno- and you have the most wonderful smile and chop mangos like a professional! _ Marilee, thank you for your generosity and the care for us throughout our stay - you have the most gorgeous style and make-up! We already miss you all very much and cannot wait for our next visit to you. Love, the Spadea family

Amazing time at the resort This trip was amazing. The resort is just as in the pictures, I was suprised hoe amazing everything looked. The rooms, restaurant, facilities and pool were all very well kept. The food was delicious, i was worried by having 1 restaurant but the switching of menus made it very tolerable. The bar menu was the only thing that could have been larger but was still able to try everything. ive seen reviews about the food being bad - not true, the steaks and ribs were some of the best ive had. Id totally recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet all-inclusive getaway. The excursions were awesome, i ended up going off resort for scuba which was so cool. The staff were some of the most amazing people, i was called by name by everyone at the resort and treated so well too. Plenty of drinks, acommodations and suggestions about amenities and nearby options in town. Also just inviting casual talk and friends were made. Such a great trip, ill never forget.
