Decor and ambiance of a crack house I was given a voucher to stay here by United Airlines for a missed flight. Checked in and headed up to the room. Opened the door and was confronted with the decor of a crack house. The drapes were ripped and hanging off the window. Walls were stained. Sheets looked like they had been slept on, very messy. There was an active leak in the ceiling of the bathroom which was over the toilet and dripped on you. We spent 5 minutes in the room and left for a different property. United Airlines should seriously reconsider their association with this specific hotel.

Missed connection comfort Missed our connecting flight so the airlines put us up for the night here. Rooms were clean and the staff was pleasant. Easy access for food delivery. Gave us options for transportation to and from the airport. Decor is a little dated but very homey feeling.

Do Not Recommend I ended up here after a delayed flight that left me stranded for the night with an early morning flight. This property does not have a restaurant and most of the travelers came directly from the airport for similar reasons. The area did not look safe to walk around and eat at local spots. I was grateful that I ate well on my transatlantic flight and was not hungry. The property switch branding last year and is this really weird mix of super old and newly painted. For example, the sink in my bathroom was shiny and new. But there was a chair in my room that was old and stained. Lots of repainted and half finished surfaces. More alarming, the door locks were bent and didn't engage correctly. The whole place just didn't feel safe at all. If I get stuck in Houston again, I'd rather pay for my own hotel than take a free night at the Sonesta.

Won't use this hotel when we next come to Houston. Front desk staff were very friendly but had to point out someone had jumped the line and were being served before us. This was soon rectified. The hotel may have been done up recently but the paintwork was poor and already peeling off. Cupboard doors didn't fit. Pillows were covered in plastic which made for a very disturbed sleep.

New Owner, many improvements Johanna at the front desk is great! Friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The many improvements under new ownership are welcomed. The new mattresses are very very comfortable! The improved breakfast is good and the snacks at the front desk available 24/7. The shuttle to the airport is on time and Ray, the driver this trip, is courteous as well as a safe driver. I slept better than at home on the new mattress!
