Very Nice I really liked my stay at your Hotel. I found the ambiance and decor unique and very cool. The historical look felt like I was traveling abroad a 100 years ago. Your bartender (very pretty Mexican Senorita) was an amazing bartender. I would recommend getting her some help when busy. I bartended for 10 years and her performance was epic under such a busy and high volume crowd. The rooms were charming and clean. I did notice the Hotel was a bit haunted, but ghosts can't hurt you. There is an old man ghost on the 10th floor. He wears a brown suit from the 20's-30's. The front counter personal was very professional. I would only recommend food options. Maybe some better in the little store by the counter, room service, or appetizers at the bar. I was getting a little tipsy drinking at the bar without any food.

Clean and Quiet Great experience from first staff encounter at check in through last visit with valet. Excellent staff, beautiful rooms, quiet comfortable beds. I'll be back each time I'm in Houston for work or pleasure.

Amazing Property Stay Report - 7/10 to 7/11 Location: The hotel is located in Downtown Houston on Main and Congress.  The entrance is on Main which can be a little tricky when you first arrive.  There's a Light Rail stop right outside as well and you can walk to a lot of the downtown activities including the Astros park.  There's a decent late night pizza joint right across the street too which is always a bonus.  It's easy enough to get to I-69 or I-45 too.  Hotel: The property is a beautiful old hotel (built in 1911) with a lovely lobby and a nice bar.  They also have their own parking garage and valet and the valet guys do great work.  The elevators are older so they can be pretty small but there were never any waits.  All the common areas were really fun to be in. Check In: Good service and I was offered bonus points as well as breakfast for two though sadly I was leaving too early for that. Room: Really nice with lots of space and surprisingly high ceilings and an absolutely gorgeous bathroom with separate tub and shower and Gilcrest & Soames products.  The Wifi worked well and there were outlets next to the bed.  My only complaint is the TV wasn't an InterneTV.   Overall a great option in Houston.  I'd love to come back.

Unexpected trip While this is a dog friendly hotel, there is no mention of the $100/night add-on when making a reservation. The staff was responsive. We did not eat in but did need ice and it was delivered promptly. Valet was quick but another hidden fee of $40/night. So, that advertised $179/night became $389 with all the fees and taxes.

Beautiful Hotel, but smells like Mold The hotel was very spacious and beautiful; however our room had a very strong mildew smell. My wife, son, and I were stuffy the entire stay, and everything we brought has a mildew smell lingering. I would not recommend staying here, at least until the mold issue is resolved.
