bring your own trash can liner Convenient to medical centers. Very clean and accommodating except bring your own trash can liners they have none in the room. So if you have a baby, eat out, or have any bodily function your trash will be sitting out in the open container without a bag. Yuk.

Amazing staff.. room comfort needs help Stayed for 7 days while my son was in the hospital for brain cancer surgery. The staff was the best. They were all very pleasant and helpful. Anything I asked for or needed was accommodated right away. Definitely 5 star customer service and super convenient to Houston Methodist by Skywalk. Cleanliness was also top notch. The ventilation seems to be poorly designed and the beds uncomfortable. I stayed in 2 different rooms: once the week prior and a long stay this visit. The 26th floor was unbearably hot and there is construction on that floor, but both rooms on the 10th and 26th we would wake up sweating every night even though the thermostat was set as low as 65 degrees trying to get a good night's sleep. There are also toppers put in the mattresses that are super lumpy, I felt like I was trying to sleep on a bed of wadded up towels. Shower was great, plenty of hot water, and nice clean fluffy towels with. I really want to make this my hotel of choice but am hesitant due to AC issues and bed comfort. A good night's sleep is really important, and it was really needed due to all of the emotional stress of my son's medical issues.

Convenient stay for the Medical Center Previously stayed here for a Baylor College of Medicine medical school interview. Came back again for a public health meeting. Room looked pretty much the same as it had 10 years ago! Good amount of outlets, good sized desk, shower could've used more pressure, bed was firm. Very close access to anywhere within the Texas Medical Center which is the main draw, but has access to the rail. Lounge was ok for post meeting drinks. Quality customer service one would expect from Marriott (currently still Gold Elite)

The self-parking ruined the stay for me The self-parking situation leaves a lot to be desired, and being the first thing I encountered, set the tone for the entire stay.. Signage is very confusing, it took a valet attendant to go point the way to the garage entrance and I still almost missed it, and it took a phone call from the garage to know where the elevators were, as the ones on the middle of the floor were for the adjoining office tower and there were no signs to the Marriott. Also, it's no re-entry, so I had to pay for each exit, even though when I called the person told me since I would be staying at the hotel it would still accumulate into a daily max rate and I could charge it to the room (which I couldn't). The garage has a dirty appearance, as does the entire valet area (dirty like an airport curb area or a loading dock area) - the whole area needs a good power washing. Also, taking the elevator to the garage is confusing - there's a sign that you have to pay on the second floor, only there's no 2nd floor button in the elevator, and it turns out that you can pay with credit card at the exit. The rooms are very clean and well furnished, but the A/C air is muggy. I wished there was more than one bottle of water in the room, considering that the gym did not have a fill station. Lots of people in the lobby without masks. Location is great if you're going to the medical center.

Poor customer service The room was clean, but quality of pillows were poor, robes were worn, thin and didn’t even have a belt. The bathroom shower had low water pressure. The internet was out for >24 hours, but were told at check in that it would be fixed ASAP, which didn’t happen. When asked about reimbursement or free parking given no internet availability, was told by front desk that they could not make this decision. Wouldn’t give contact info for manager other than her email. Room service was incredibly slow. Overall highly frustrating stay as could not get any work done without internet. Would not recommend staying here.
