Good Stay for one over night solo but not with kids or family We stayed overnight here for one night. The pool was so dirty my kids couldn't see with their goggles. It was also freezing. They swam for about 15 minutes and called it quits. The elevator was very scary and they even had a note on the front saying it was old and to not over load it with too many people. I was very disappointed with this Holiday Inn and am usually impressed with this brand. The breakfast did have variety and we were pleased with that. Staff was very friendly and kind.

will not return This hotel is tired and worn out. The rooms are grubby and dirty. The window seal was broken so you could not see out of the window. The bathroom had mildew and stains on the ceiling, generally dirty and in need of a complete renovation. The towels were a dirty yellow color.

A good choice for overnighting before going to the USAF museum This HIE is in Huber Heights, which is on the north side of Dayton. It's about 6 or 7 miles from the Air Force Museum over by Wright-Patt and an easy drive down there. The staff at the hotel was friendly and efficient. The room was clean and comfortable, and since the hotel sits a ways off the nearby busy road, we found it to be very quiet at night. Breakfast was the usual variety of both hot and cold items. I will note though that the breakfast room tables and seating were a bit unorthodox, being more the high barstool, or the low living-room chair variety, rather than normal table and chairs. I guess it's okay, if one is careful. Overall, a pleasant and convenient stay. Oh, also, the hotel provided a 10%-off dinner coupon for use at the Texas Roadhouse restaurant which is about 120 yards north of the hotel.

Renee is #1 We had an exceptionally long day on the motorcycle and tried to avoid Indianapolis rush hour but hit the multiple small town rush hours instead ...making the day even worse. We found this hotel with 2 restaurants across the parking lot so we didn't have to get back on the bike. Renee (front desk check-in) went above and beyond to get us a rate comparable to the Hampton next door (because that's where we were headed next). It really made our day to finally get a break in our favor on an otherwise crappy day. THANK YOU RENEE!!!

If you're looking for clean, keep looking We were traveling cross-country and checked in after 2:00 AM. We were exhausted and just wanted a clean, comfortable place to stay. The first issue arrived from the minute we parked our car. The snow plows had pushed all the snow from the parking lot toward the sidewalks so we had to step through shin-deep snow banks and try to maneuver our luggage through it. There was ice covering the sidewalk in front of the side door which almost caused us to fall. Inside we immediately noticed dirty floors, carpet, greasy smear prints and stains on walls and the elevator. The air vent in the hallway was filthy. In our room, there were several kinds of stains on the comforters, there was hair under the sheets in both beds; head and pubic hair. Clearly nothing had been washed after the last guests left. The paint was peeling, there were cobwebs and dirt in corners. The exhaust fan in the bathroom was filthy, there was hair on the floor (not just the one strand in the photo) and there was mold in all four corners of the sink. At check out no one even asked how our stay was and one of the housekeepers was just sitting at the desk with the front desk staff talking. She may want to go have a discussion bout cleanliness with the other housekeeping staff instead. If it had not been so late and we hadn't been so tired we would have definitely left. Definitely not up to Holiday Inn standards and what they used to be.
