A Hidden Gem at the Beach We chose this hotel because of it's location and price and neither disappointed. The rooms are super clean and charming with beach/surf themes. Each room has a microwave, small refrigerator and cable TV. The beds are very comfortable as are the linens and towels. The staff is extremely helpful and very nice people. We were on the second floor and there is no elevator, which was not an issue for us but something to note. We will definitely stay here again.

Sadly a bad experiece the place is not clean, as you can see on the photos you can hear everything, the walls are paper thin all night is a high pitch noise, you hear it as well downstairs where the reception is 2 girls, that are familie of the owners, were very loud at the vending machine, sadly next to our room, when asking friendly if they can keep the noise a bit down the laughed out loud the woman at the reception is not willing to cooperate if we asked the man that walked out of the office if he is the manager he said firm NO and kept on walking we booked for 4 nights, after first sleepless night we checked out, at the reception they said no problem, we pay for 2 nights and they will refund us 2 nights. we have it on paper as well. 1 month later we are still waitig for our refund. we contacted the hotel several times and they are ignoring us.

A pleasant surprise for the price! This is an older property that has been totally & nicely updated. 2nd & 3rd floor rooms (no elevator) over parking garage. Check-in was seamless. Lovely contemporary paint colors, nice flooring, bathroom totally updated with nice tile, rain shower head & usual shower & bath amenities. Large TV, microwave & small frig; very comfortable king bed with an overall “beach” feel to the room decorating. Would definitely stay here again. Close to numerous public beaches (pay to park) & lots & lots of restaurant choices. Right on Pacific Coast Highway so scenic drives.

Bang for Buck Stayed here for a few days with my wife so we could check out the Hunting Beach/Newport Beach/Long Beach area. Very easy to find right on the PCHW. The family running the place was very polite and easy to work with. Our room was very clean upon arrival and the beds/pillows were more comfortable than some of the nicer hotels we have stayed in. The best thing about this place is that HB pier is 10 mins away in one direction and shopping for food/goods is 10 mins in the other direction. There are loads of bars and breweries in the area (Golden Road Brewing is 2 mins down the road for good food and drinks). We got a rate of $113/night before taxes and fees so at this price point, we would recommend this Inn and stay again for sure. Now for the negatives: As I think everyone has mentioned, the walls are quite thin and the door gap on the bottom is quite large, so you can hear any hallway activity clear as day from other renters. One of the nights, some of the other occupants were arguing around 1-2am which kept us up quite late, which is not the Inn's fault, but still frustrating. The highway noise might be an issue for light sleepers, but nothing some ear plugs can't fix. Also, we were on the 3rd floor which is the top floor, yet the last night of our stay it sounded like someone was walking around above us?? We were a bit confused on that one. Our biggest issue was the lack of hot water and the rainfall shower head. I think there are some water heating issues that need to be addressed. We were in room 324 which shares a wall with the utility/water heater closet and we could hear it firing up quite often and it was whistling quite loud. Might be time for a thorough servicing or even maybe a replacement. Overall, at the rate we paid, I would easily give this place 3 stars for location, cleanliness, and comfort. If the water wasn't an issue I would have given this place 4 stars.

Nice little Gem The Hotel was very easy to find and just a five minute walk to the beach. First impression was a little doubtful as the tiny checkin office is a little unkempt and the staff although friendly could definitely be more professionally dressed. There is not an elevator but it is only 3 floors. The steps are in need of paint which would help with that first impression. Then we stepped into our very lovely third floor Harbour view jacuzzi room! It was perfect for our stay! Spacious and modern with a lovely Harbour view. The shower pressure was fine and our bed was comfortable. The furniture modern. We had a fridge and microwave. Maid service was fine. We could leave our car parked in the free garage and walk to several restaurants as well as the beach.. Great qstay and would definitely return.
