Modern & Cozy! I had such a wonderful experience. Every staff member that I encountered, from the valet to the check-in to the cleaning staff were very delightful and always eager to help! Thank you so much! I will for sure recommend the Doubletree my colleagues!

Convenient location, but a bit rundown It's a convenient location near restaurants and Marshall University. We stayed so that we could drive to Milton to go to the.Blenko Factory. There was also an art exhibit of.Blenko at the College of media and arts, which is right down the street from the hotel.
The pool area looked nice, but I did not remember that they had a pool, so I didn't bring a suit. The staff was very friendly, and there were always warm, chocolate chip cookies, and bottles of water available.
Their bar, bootleggers, is just a bar with some food. But it's not a full service restaurant as I had expected. The staff was friendly, but the service was slow. The choices on the menu were very limited. We went there the first night of our stay expecting to have dinner, but that wasn't really a good option.
The most disappointing aspect of our stay was how rundown the hotel is. The hallways and rooms are dark, and they smell of staleness. Housekeeping came late in the afternoon when we were already back in the room, so we accepted clean towels, and left it at that because we needed to use the shower and the room to get ready to go out again.
The Valet parking is $10 per day. I don't know where the cars are parked, but a parking garage would have been preferable. There is metered parking on the street, but it's only for two hours so you really have to use the valet.

Convenient location, housekeeping severely lacking Good downtown location, several good places to eat within walking distance. Staff was great, very accommodating and friendly. Common areas were clean and well kept except for the outdoor patio adjacent to the pool. Room gave the impression of hurried housekeeping or simply not attentive to details. TV screen was filthy, as was the top of the cabinet under the TV. Mini fridge was in the corner of the room instead of in the cabinet and didn’t look like it had ever been cleaned. Pubic hair on the toilet, filth along the shower door, dirty shoe print in shower and small insect on the sink. Water pressure was great. Thankfully I travel with Clorox wipes but I don’t feel I should have to clean a room I’m paying $200 / night for. The linens were soft and comfortable but the bed was miserable. One side of the mattress was sunk down, well worn and needed replaced. Room was at the end of a hallway and was not noisy.

Very Sad Room #1 had sunflower seeds all over the floor, clearly had not been vacuumed, and the tabletops were filthy. I never looked at the bed and quickly asked for a second room. Room #2 had a clean bed but so much debris on the floor. Literally, sticks and fuzz every couple feet... I sucked it up (slept in shoes) but will NEVER stay here again.

It is ok. Not great, just ok. This is an ok hotel. It needs a remodeling urgently. Service is good. Employees make an effort to accommodate you. Breakfast is bad. Not worth the money. Good size bedrooms, bath is ok, easy check in and check out. Very good location. Many places around to eat.
