Rude employee My husband and I (ages 50, & 47) golfed at Sawmill for the 2nd time in the last 8 years. I used the restroom that was located by one of the holes without knowing it was only for marina guests. When I came out, a male employee about my age was in a gold cart next to my husband who told me that the restroom was only for marina guests. I, thinking he was joking, said that I do belong to a marina but actually it's in Sandusky. He looked at me, without smiling, began moving on this colf cart and said, "Dont do it again.". I felt like I was a teenager being scolded. Extremely rude, and a little over the top to be so mean to a couple, dressed appropriately for golf, at our age there to have a nice time. Will not be back.

Would love to go back! Sawmill Creek was such a nice place to stay! It totally reminds me of a Adirondack Mountain resort. It is cozy and decorated reflecting that feel. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The best part is that they are pet friendly! The Bath & Body works products in the bathroom were nice as well. We would love to come back and visit during the summer when the outdoor pool is open.

Not a Great Stay Stayed here a week ago. It is my understanding that Cedar Point has bought this resort and is planning to remodel it. It really needs it. This is advertised as a resort. My room was very Plain Jane. Nothing special at all. It could have been a Red Roof Room. Worse, I could hear the people in the room next to me snoring and coughing all night long. I thought I was going to be sick. The staff was nice but really unqualified in their jobs. I still have not received the correct receipt for the room. I played the golf course two years ago. That was OK. Lets hope Cedar Point can made some improvements. It really in not a resort.

Great cozy stay! Clean, rustic, cozy hotel. We all really felt relaxed here for our "girls trip". Great location near the lake. Phenomenal breakfast buffet. Great, personable service! Nice shops on site with unique gifts. We will visit again!! TRIP20

Good Stay I enjoyed the stay at Sawmill. The facilities were a bit worn but comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. It's in an slightly out of the way location in Sandusky which, if you are invested in finding some time away is very useful Good value.
