Old and disgusting. I just brought my 2 boys here for 3 nights hoping for a fun vacation. I was shocked at the state of the place and for the price. We have stayed here on several occasions throughout the years and it continues to go downhill with no improvements. - Water park - rusted stairs, wave pool and big slide were closed as they were broken. So all my boys could use was the lazy river, which of course was packed. The hot tub was dirty, with a film of dirt on the top. - Room - old, old furniture, whenever we tried to open the drawers, they fell out. Carpets are dirty and need updating. Water damage stains on the ceiling (both in the room and throughout hotel). Plug sockets are old and loose and don’t hold the plugs or cables. The windows were closed but there was no insulation and the cold air from outside was coming in. The vents in the bathroom, you can hear conversations from the people next door. - Hotel - they still don’t over maid service throughout the hotel. We stayed for 3 nights and they got upset when we requested more towels, tissues and bedsheets. Staff look miserable. Carpets are old, old furniture is placed throughout hotel without any purpose. The hotel elevator shook each time we used it. Other people were complaining and they were told “we will make note of it.” But not sure if that’s the case. I’ve noticed on these reviews that the owners of the Cape Codder never seem to offer any positive feedback or suggestions for the negative reviews. They should probably read the reviews, fix the problems, if they want people to stay there. I hate that I even have to give it a 1 star.

Not a water resort Absolutely disgusting and disappointing- took my two toddlers there, the kids area is underwhelming - the “wave” pool was broken and not heated our entire stay so we paid to go around the lazy river a few times. The rooms are gross, there was hair all over our tub. The place is falling apart. Do yourself a favor and just book great wolf instead, this is a pathetic excuse for a “water resort”

Disappointing Visit to Hotel to see Santa. We have taken our grandkids to view the Christmas decorations for the past several years at the Cape Codder Hotel and have always been impressed with the quality of the decorations. This year was a total disappointment from previous years. No train or village display in the lobby. Two thirds of the lights were not on. The hotel looks like it is not being cared for as in previous years. I must say Santa looked like the real Santa. I would hope management reads this review.

everything broken Took the kids last weekend. Wavepool: broken. One waterslide: broken. Outdoor hot tub: broken. We've been going for years, but it seems like something is always broken, and I'm not sure I can continue to face to kids' constant disappointment. Sorry Cape Codder, I think I give up on you.

Terrible experience Just got home from our overnight stay at the Cape Codder for my daughters birthday. A total of 16 of us went, some purchased day passes while the rest of us rented rooms. (3) The rooms we rented in particular were conjoined which was great. We went to eat and came back late to settle in our rooms after our day of fun. We put our exhausted toddlers to bed, and noticed our room (235) was infested with ants. I called down to guest services and immediately notified the front desk gentleman working about all of the ants. His solution, move rooms. Very dismissive, and unfriendly. I mentioned that we were with our family in conjoined rooms, he could only accommodate one room on a completely different floor. I stated that my children were sleeping, and that was a lot to completely move rooms at 9:30 pm., and separate from the rest of our family. I asked if they could bring up cots and we would just have to squeeze into our conjoined room (237) 2 of our guests left so we didn’t have to split up. We all squeezed into the beds, and woke up the next morning to the floor soaked! And all of our belongings wet. The AC had leaked onto our things. As soon as you got off of the bed and stepped onto the floor, our socks were completely wet. So we decided to get up and just leave. Despite the kids wanting to stay and swim. I notified the front desk manager, She stated “well we offered you another room”, I tried explaining only one room was offered and we would have to split up, pack up, and wake up children to make the move. We came together as a family and that’s how we wanted to stay. She offered to take off $60 for each room. We paid nearly $700 for two, to squeeze into one room for the night. I highly suggest just getting a day pass if you plan on visiting. There is a best western down the street which is half the price, Far more cleaner, updated, and you won’t feel as though you are a burden should you need to contact guest services.
