The extra rating is for the kind and helpful gems of people working the front desk, otherwise it would have been two... Ok the truth is, don't take my word for it try this place yourself to see that it is nothing but a glorified motel. The fact that Marriott rates this one of it's level five properties is beyond ridiculous it's almost laughable. On what merit? It has to be the only big thing it has going for it -LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. This place is very well located I must say, right next to the Mall, which is attached to a Target (!!!!), right behind it is a Trader Joes, Cape Cod Creamery which has amazing ice cream, it's almost next door to the airport (hmmm wonder why they didn't just call it an airport hotel, sorry motel), convenient to downtown Hyannis (6 minutes by car)...and many more location wise. And Marriott has wholly capitalized on that and said forget about quality, this place can be a dump but people will stay because there are not a lot of chain properties in the area. This property is OLD and in dire need of updating. The room was dark and the bedding musty, the carpet was old and smelly. OMG even if the rooms would be so neglected, at least make some effort to update the elevator, it was old and there were stains all over the already worn and dirty carpet inside of it. The bathrooms looked like no one cleaned it thoroughly and of course everything in there was old and falling apart. Honestly I was going to take photos as proof but decided nah don't waste your time, let the people find out themselves- because chances are you if you are looking into this area and are considering this hotel or any other chain properties for that matter, it would be a matter of pure practicality or convenience, this review will likely not sway you. Especially if you are not looking at the hotel as the vacation itself, only as a base for you as you explore the cape. Such a shame though as this place could double as a nice family hotel where you and the kids would feel comfortable to relax for a few days off as you enjoy the cape and all it has to offer. I would never bring my family here or return. The facade of the hotel matches the aesthetic of Cape Cod, but that's all it really is, a facade, a front for Marriott to straight-faced parade this motel 6 as a level 5 property. The front desk people were beyond lovely though, very friendly and helpful in their interactions, that counted for some points which were left in this review.

If you want to pay a premium price for a cheap motel experience, this is the place to go Hotel felt like a cheap motel. Smelly carpets and smelly elevator. Bad WiFi connectivity. Front desk got defensive when I reported the WiFi issue, forget about trying to address it. Not even a proper sign for the hotel. Just the whole experience was very bad. Definitely did not feel like a Marriott

Great Staff! This hotel has a wonderful staff and a great interior. Everyone we encountered at this Courtyard was excellent! The maintenance man, Kumar, actually saved us from missing our ferry to Nantucket after our Uber driver cancelled on us last minute. He drove us there in his own car! Now that is customer service. The entire staff was excellent but he deserves special recognition. The interior is very nice as were the rooms. We would gladly stay there again .

not perfect, but glad we stayed Before booking this stay, I didn't realize there was a Courtyard Marriott on the Cape. Also, it is bigger than it looks from the outside! It was a bit disappointing that there was only 1 regular coffee (and 3 decafs) in the room for 3 people, but luckily the Bistro was open to get Starbucks coffees anyways. The AC fan was way too loud and did not respond to any thermostat changes we tried to make. The TV controls were a bit strange, but we figured it out eventually. (visited 5/27/21)

Some glitches We've stayed at this location before, but it's been a while. The good: room was reasonablly updated and quiet. Bed was fine. The disappointing: There was a pile crumbs on the sofa, stool, and desk chair. The bathroom had a significant number of stray hairs. Unfortunately, I didn't notice these when we dropped our luggage off or I would've asked to change rooms. With Covid still around, I wondered what else had been overlooked. Also, our refrigerator went warm overnight on our third night. We had to toss our food. I told the front desk when we checked out. She asked if a child could've hit the control—we had no kid, and there wasn't a dial. This fridge seemed like a re-purposed mini bar. It didn't even have a tiny freezer for a cold pack. All in all, our stays a few years ago were nicer.
