Great time at the new Irish Village/Emerald Resort My wife and I visited the new Irish Village/Emerald Resort for the first time. We had a great time and the staff was welcoming and helpful. Our room, and the swimming pools were very clean. Our beds were comfortable and the TVs had great picture quality. The lounge, even off season, had live entertainment, and it was excellent and we had a great time. I miss some of the features of the old Irish Village, and the remodeling and maintenance work continue, but that did not interfere with the active guest rooms. I was pleasantly surprised that everything is functioning so well so soon after the transfer of ownership.

Stay home. Stay home. Where I stayed, the floors were laminate and, silly me, I walked around in bare feet. Just before I got in the shower, I looked at the bottom of my feet…they were filthy. Also, the outlet and extension cord system looks like a fire waiting to happen. Beds not comfortable. The only bright light was the bartender who, while covering the bar, also waitressed in the restaurant and pool. Delicious hamburger.

Avoid this place Pro - the restaurant staff was generally nice. Cons - where to start… We were there for a conference, literally hundreds of people there for 6 days. They knew we were coming. It had been planned for a year. There was no wifi in the rooms, and when asked, the staff basically shrugged. There was no offer to try to make up for the fact that there was no internet for a CONFERENCE. It’s 2023, not 1993. At some points there was no heat in the rooms (its February, in Massachusetts. It’s cold.) At one point, no hot water. At another point, no water at all. It was freezing in all of the “conference center” rooms. The decor is horribly outdated and downright disgusting in some places. My bathroom was not clean, and I couldn’t turn the water up all the way in the shower because then I couldn’t turn it off - the dial would not budge because it’s corroded. There was painters tape on the door handles of the bathroom, but no new paint anywhere. The sheets did not feel clean, the bed skirt was ripped and stained. There’s no elevator in a good chunk of the hotel, so I’d ask to stay on the first floor if you can’t use the stairs. Bottom line: avoid, avoid, avoid. Apparently there are new owners as of last summer. They’ve made zero improvements. In fact, it was way worse than when we stayed here for this same conference three years ago. Do yourself a favor and stay literally anywhere else.

Under new management - now the New Cape Cod Irish Village Staff and wait service very courteous, accommodating and professional. Many of us arrived at the same time which could be overwhelming- but the front desk whisked us in and we were in our rooms within minutes. Front desk ladies went above and beyond in making the transition of new ownership easy for customers. Although some may say it is slightly outdated, the resort was immaculate, staff was seen cleaning and disinfecting continuously. As for the rooms were large enough for few people - we were only two. The room was also very clean, room had a table and chairs, a refrigerator, a very large bathroom and a patio which I loved. Housekeepers were quickly to accommodate as well. I needed extra towels and had them within minutes. Food service staff were professional and courteous. The staff knew how to serve food not like some places where the just hand you your food. As for the meals -the breakfasts and dinners for the 4 days that I was there was hot, delicious, and portioned well. A wide array of foods were served with everything from prime rib to chicken to salmon, and all prepared with sauces to our liking. The Breakfast buffet had everything as one would want. Overall, I was very impressed with how the staff and management went above and beyond to accommodate the young and old. My compliments to a gentleman, Tomas Mac Cormaic for running around and going above and beyond and making our “Shilelagh Law “ concert weekend very memorable. We are looking forward to staying with you again in the future.
