Most dishonest hotel I’ve ever dealt with! Flight was canceled out of John Wayne and airline offered a hotel voucher. We were given this hotel and Hampton Inn as choices. The photos on the hotel website must have been 20 years old. We got checked in and walking to our room, everything was in disarray. From the scent in the hallways to cover up smoke and mold smell, to the painted over defects in the walls to the janky door lock in the room. We left our bags in room, walked to the Hilton right next door, which was great. We went back to the Atrium and asked for our voucher back, they refused and said we already checked in. We were there for 5 minutes!! They absolutely refused and said they were keeping the airlines money. These people are scam artists. Avoid this hotel at all costs. If you don’t believe me, ask to see a room first then go to the Hilton next door before you use your voucher!!

Convenient location, good value for money PRO: Location: Literally across the street from SNA. Price: Breakfast, parking and wifi were included in the promo rate, so we paid less than we would have at any other hotel right at the airport (less than half what we'd have paid at either Hilton). Staff: Everyone we interacted with was polite and efficient. Room: Good sized room, appeared clean, quirky decor but neatly appointed with a side sofa. Nice little balcony with a table and chairs. Comfy bed. Big TV. Seemed quiet. Pool: Big. Warm. Fitness Room: Clean. Modern. CON: Ants. In our second floor room. Not a swarm, but a steady parade around the refrigerator. Breakfast. Tasty enough, but meager. Muffins (chocolate and cranberry-orange, both quite good), bagels (and cream cheese), yogurt, fresh fruit (apples and oranges) and coffee; tough if you're gluten-free and/or vegan. Maybe there was juice? But that's it. It was included in the room rate for us, so no big deal, but give it a miss if it isn't because you can't take food out of the breakfast room. Ambient noise. The housekeeping staff literally screamed at each other down the hallways as they were working. In all, worth what we paid and I would return if the need arose.

If your flight cancels Absolute bare minimum hotel. No coffee in the lobby but I was informed I could get some with breakfast for $12!! Minimally staffed, the only reason to stay here is if you are stuck at John Wayne airport. The shower/ tub combo had a tub 3 feet long, perfect for a toddler. Room was clean, about the only upside.

Good Location Stayed here for a quick trip to So Cal to see a concert. We checked in around 11:30 p.m. and had no issues. Our room was clean, quiet, and the bed was comfortable. We only heard others when they were speaking loudly in the hallway. They did charge for parking and you have to get a ticket from the front desk to get in and out, but once we figured that out, we had no issues. We did want to get a drink at the bar and we were told to go to the Hilton next door. The hotel pool area was very quiet and we wish we had time to hang out there as it was really nice with the cabanas. This hotel is in a great location across the street from the Orange County airport. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Life in the Too Fast Lane First of all, things did not start off great as the individual that initially took my hotel reservation was very rude and his accent was so thick that it was difficult to understand him. When I would politely ask him to repeat himself he became frustrated with me. Secondly, when the driver picked me up from the airport, he drove like a maniac and exceeded the posted speed limit by 30mph. He would zoom up on the bumper of cars and brake very hard and zig zag in and out lanes. I’m in law enforcement and I was afraid! His driving was atrocious and he had no respect for the passengers in his vehicle. I was 100% certain that we would be involved in a serious automobile accident. Lastly, this is not a big deal but every floor should have a soda machine so guests shouldn’t have to go to the ground floor to get sodas or water.
