Horrible experience Horrible experience. Drove 4 hours for work trip. Went to check in and they had a note on front desk saying he back later. Had to wait 20 minutes to check in. Came back down for a snack to buy and same note. Waited again. I had an early wake up so I called down to have a wake up call, but nobody was working to answer my call, so no wake up call. Spent 2 nights there and I come to find out they charge a full night immediately upon check in, and then charge you for both nights again and the credit back the first night. What hotel does that? If you just need a bed, you can this place is OK. If you want to feel like a guest at a Marriott property, you will be very frustrated and dismayed at the total lack of effort to provide any form of a guest experience. I emailed the manager to provide feedback and they never replied or followed up, so I so apparently they don't care. Never go here. Ps. A massage parlor is next to the hotel so you can get a better experience there.

Simply Sucks is more like it... Absolutely terrible experience. Hotel cancelled our paid reservation on the evening of arrival and sold the room out from under us without trying to contact us at all, meaning when we arrived they had no rooms available for us, despite our reservation having been paid in advance. That's already bad. On top of this, front desk staff and management were unapologetic and entirely unsympathetic to the situation, leaving us to sort out a refund from Expedia for this whole mess and find another place to stay at 10pm in the evening. I can't explain how terrible this experience was. I'll never, ever consider booking here again, and I don't recommend anyone else does either. There is no shortage of other places in the area to stay.

elevator down for maintenance until mid june. no disclosure upfront. it's a solid hotel but there were some issues. first, no elevator service until middle of june. i understand they are going through maintenance but there needs to be a disclosure on every booking method they have (especially THEIR OWN) that says "no elevator service until 6/14" (or whatever the date was). that's just a massive disclosure issue. i stayed here twice in the last month, and both times the elevator was out. neither time this was disclosed til i got to the desk and checked in. first time i was stuck with a second floor unit, and this last time a third floor unit. it really sucks doing the unpacking and loading of bags from car to room when there is no elevator, and of course every room on the first floor is sold out. the other issue was that when i turned on the heater in room 306, the smoke alarm went off. not cool. other than that, the place is kept clean, which you would expect in the city o[ irvine. it is near a high end hospital named hoag which is like the cedars-sinai of orange county but they are undergoing construction so the whole area looks kinda unkempt right now. but the actual property is fine and the rooms are well kept. inside you have a kitchenette with a microwave and a full size fridge, and the bed is comfy and the shower has a lot of water pressure. there are even plates and utensils for you to use. parking is free and plentiful so no issue there. would come back here but need the elevator to work or to get a ground floor unit. for god's sake, just disclose this upfront on the website or the sonesta app, which is what i use as i generally like this chain.

Promises made, promises broken. After entering the room all was good. The TV failed, and the handy man tried for 1 hour to fix. He said he would be back in a half hour. Five minutes later the receptionist came and told me he cannot fix the TV. She said she could give us another room. Rather than move our things down the hall I said I'll stay in the first room. She told me because of the problem she would "comp" us for the night. In the morning when checking out the hotel said they knew nothing of any discount for the inconvenience. The facility was fine and worth a "good" rating. Charging us $75 for our ESA was high. I never asked to be moved or for a discount. They promised a discount, and their failure to stand by their word has soured me on the Hotel.

Very basic hotel This "hotel" (motel) is located right by Hoag Hospital. In fact, as we were following the navigation system to find the place, we thought we were turning into the hospital parking area. The entrance is small and does not have an automatic sliding door. The layout of the lobby is not of good design. The place feels cramped and musty. As soon as we entered the room, we could tell someone had smoked in the room. The room has a small kitchenette - two electric burners, a fridge, a small sink and a dishwasher. Everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) is old and dated. The kitchen is barely equipped with two spoons, two knives, and one fork. Two plates, two bowls, two glasses and a couple of cooking utensils. The very bare minimum. During our 3-night stay, the room card keys failed to work three times, and we finally had to get the staff to unlock our door. He tried it a couple of times without success; and he finally pulled the door handle upwards to open the door. As he was leaving, he implied that we didn't know how to use the card key by pulling the handle upwards. Who opens any door by pulling the door handle upwards? This is a very basic hotel, with minimal amenities. Furnishings in the room are basic and fairly standard. Nothing to write home about. As for cleanliness, I would rate it a 4 out of 10. I would not return
