Not what it once was. Wow! I have visited this property while traveling through Nevada for about 30 years. After my most recent visit, I feel that I will probably never go back. Up until the pandemic, we had a host that would invite us to special events, concerts, and he would take care of booking our rooms. No longer does anyone seem to appreciate that we are there at all. I made my own room reservations by phone and requested to be closer to the front this time because of a weak ankle. I arrived at the front desk where I checked on with a gal named Aisha. She welcomed me with her speech which sounded like a robot, and had no personable skills at all. Went to the assigned room, it was the farthest room from the front desk in the entire building! It was on the far end of the hallway on the 4th floor! Went back to same person at the front desk, and again she started with her same robot speech. I politely mentioned that she had just spoken with me 10 minutes before. Told her I didn't get my request, and she said they were booked and had to call a manager. He did manage to get me a little closer. Next we went to casino floor where there is 3 different bar areas. Only one of them even had a bartender. It is a fairly large floor and they only had 2 cocktail servers, we ended up waiting almost an hour for a drink. In the past, there was always familiar faces of employees, but saw none in the 2 days we were there. It felt like all the personable things that kept us coming there were gone. I felt unappreciated and that they only wanted me there for the dollars that I would potentially gamble. No more!

Not up to standard. Dirty hallways, layers of dust. One working elevator which was dirty. Broken light hanging outside of elevator. Loose faucet in bathroom and could pull up water diverter to get full pressure for shower. Toilet plumbing not secured to way so had major gap. Windows dirty, curtains dusty and view of duct work. Casino smoky and entrainment value of games was lacking. Food was only so so. Manager did refund room. Wont come back.

Horshu is a fine value Stayed across hwy at their Horshu property. Cpete's casino is where all the action is in town. Lively on a mid-week evening. Property is in great shape, not run down as some reviews implied. The Horshu hotel has been neglected, especially outside, but the room was decent. Once a very nice hotel, now a bit of an old dame. Mid-week it's lightly attended, ghost town nearly. Pool very nice and not busy! It's a good value, I'd stay again.

Pretty nice hotel This hotel is 65+ years old and while it is in good condition, it is showing its wear and tear. The room I booked and stayed in was in the tower section, overlooking highway 93 and small glimpses of the swimming pool. The tall trees (40+ feet tall), provide some privacy to the users of the pool from the 6th floor, which is good. The trees are gorgeous so the view really is nice! The rooms, while surface clean, are not deep clean. The carpets could/should be cleaned. The amenities provided are typical of lower priced hotels, but still gave us a coffee package with enough to make 4 cups. Two small bottles of water (complimentary) are given, the towels are clean and plentiful. However, this resort does not have room service (seems this is a dead industry option since Covid), there is no writing paper or bibles in the room, but they do offer 2-ply toilet paper! There is a silver lining. The TV selection is VERY good, but there is no channel guide to use, either on paper or on screen. Had to go through a great deal of commercials to get a list instead of constantly scrolling. First group = news and sports. Second group = USA, FX, TNT etc. Third group is TLC, BRAVO, TBS etc. There is no local programming from either Wells NV or from Twin Falls ID. Lastly the blackout curtains were the best I’ve used in years! They actually blacked out the room. Well done! Overall, the site is not new, it is lovingly used and worn like an old coat, so I would definitely recommend this hotel casino for your Jackpot destination.

The Casino Is Great. However, They Refuse To Address The Needs Of It's Guests This Hotel does not do enough to accommodate none smokers. Half of the seating should be smoke free. I don't understand why this property refuses to accept suggestions from the very people the use the faculty. Like having a small seating bench in the reservation line for us old folks or something simple like a salad bar in the Desert Room.
