Hidden Gem The Eagle mountain lodge is not perfect, but the charm and genuine atmosphere makes up for the flaws. We stayed one night during our road trip of the Northeast states. Had we known, we would probably had booked one more night and tried a round of golf. Staff at front desk and restaurant are very friendly and helpful with recommendations for a passing traveler. The restaurant served a nice well tasting dinner to a decent price. Breakfast for $16 per adult for buffet was a bit pricey for the items on the buffet. The veranda with the rocking chairs are beautiful! Nature around Jackson is stunning.

A real gem in the mountains A very lovely stay for a night on our recent road trip. The front desk staff is super friendly and accommodating, and we loved hearing about the history of the place. This is a very old hotel, so be prepared for little quirks and interesting details; for us that's all part of the attraction of the place. Our room was very clean and comfortable, with an incredible mountain view, nicely updated bathroom and amenities. The surroundings are well maintained and quiet. The restaurant is also convenient and the food was nicely prepared, service was attentive and friendly. Dining on the front porch is a nice option, there are also plenty of rocking chairs for quiet sitting. We really enjoyed the whole experience and highly recommend!

Comfortable and Beautiful The historic hotel was beautiful. We loved the history of the hotel and the continued authenticity of the decor. The beds were comfortable and the staff was friendly, efficient, and professional. I especially loved the rocking chairs on the veranda. I would definitely recommend Eagle Mountain House and Gold Club.

Beautiful peaceful classic New England hotel . A surprisingly beautiful find for a quick overnight stay in the Mount Washington Valley area . Classic New England resort from the late 1800’s , beautiful setting and wrap around porch with the same view people saw 100 years ago . Quiet area a short drive into Jackson Village . Restaurant was excellent and we dined on the patio . Staff and service excellent and room pleasant and clean . The window AC units need updating with mini splits as they were noisy so I switched off but a minor nuisance . Everything else trumped and I will use this beautiful hotel for my stays going forward.

Old Hotel but very tired This is a heritage hotel and we did not expect it to be like a new build. However, the building needs a lot of work doing to it to bring it up to acceptable standards. Whilst our room was comfortable and had everything that we needed, the window frames were rotting away and the carpets in some areas, especially in the dining room, were disgusting. However, the biggest problem that we had was that the hotel was advertised as having a swimming pool and the email that we received from the hotel before check-in suggested that the pool would be open room Memorial Day 2024. As our stay was after this we expected an open pool. Instead the pool is far from being open (see Photo) and there is really no outdoor space other than the porch. On checkout I received an email from the manager asking about our stay and telling us to email hi directly if there were problems. I did email about the pool and 2 weeks later I have not received a reply.
