Regret staying here Beds were uncomfortable. AC wasn’t working, remotes weren’t working. Phone wasn’t working. We had a leak in the room and they said no one could help us until after 7 am. We let the front desk know we got a room upgrade on one of the top floors. Room was slightly better. Don’t know why our first room was so horrible. Front desk staff wasn’t friendly or helpful throughout the stay. We had questions regarding transportation and things regarding food and drinks and we were given an attitude. The hotel needs to be updated ASAP. The bathrooms in the lobby and pool area were filthy. Food wasn’t too bad. Overall, I do not recommend this place.

You get what you pay for Things they do well: food- you will never go hungry. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus snacks at the snack bar. The drinks are good. The pool is warm, the beach is beautiful. We also felt safe, there was security at both entrances. It was also in walking distance to a shopping/entertainment area. Things that can be improved: not enough parking. People had to park in the grass on the weekend. The music is very loud on the property and goes on until midnight every day. You won't be able to sleep early there. The staff's doesn't speak much english, but everyone was nice. All of the activities were in Spanish, so the resort is definitely geared towards the locals. Beds are rock hard. But our main concern was that the floors throughout the property were extremely slippery. My daughter fell once, and it was honestly hard to walk without slipping. I would not bring my mother there or any older person for that matter.

Great for a quick trip We stayed about 4 nights which was enough time to get in all we wanted to do in Jaco; El Miro, horse ride on the beach, and a simple beach/pool day. Rooms could use a little love but nothing terrible, shower did run out of "hot" water it was more Lukewarm. Plenty of space and a safe in each room. There are 2 pools one closer to the beach and one more central that is attached to a kid style pool, there was a splash pad but it wasn't on, huge playground with a sand pit. There are only 2 bars but we never waited more than about 10mins at peak times which was only about twice. Food is served up stairs and is buffet style Breakfast 630am-10am, lunch 1215pm-3p, dinner 615p-930p, every night was a different theme, food was ok nothing amazing. There are also snacks pretty much all day at the pool bar, they varied as to what was being cooked at the time, burgers, hot dogs, chicken nuggets/wings/fried, nachos with cheese, refried beans, ground meat, French fries, pizza, cheese sticks..... All the staff was very nice, had to ask to use the ping pong table, foosball, and pool table but there was always someone there to hand out the supplies. Each night there is something to do, dancing, singing, face paint, bingo....There is also a casino attached but you have to go through the front lobby, you can bring drinks from the resort, drinks at the casino are not free(no big deal but just a heads up).

Get your shots before staying here This place makes motel 6 look like the Ritz. The pool is nice, the beach is great. The food is barely edible. I had a wilted lettuce salad for lunch and dinner was a bunch of over salted incredibly tough meat. Cooks, salt it before cooking and you’ll probably solve the problem. The real problem is the room. No fridge, ac keeps going into freeze protection despite being set to 24C, and it is hot and humid and smell like mildew. There are cigarette burns all over the furniture, one 2 hard to reach outlets in the room, dripping rust stains on the wall coming from the safe, the ac unit itself obviously hasn’t been maintained or it would work, but is covered in a greasy filth and brown liquid stains. The white area with the light switch is covered with black smudges, one of the two outlets is not even properly screwed into the wall. Honestly, I could go on, but this place is absolutely disgusting. This is the third hotel I’ve stayed in here in Costa Rica and by far the most expensive, and yet it was the only one that I’ve had a single complaint about. Oh, and the phone doesn’t work, so you can’t call the front desk, sigh.
